- Your name might be on a church roll-but is your name written in heaven? If you’ve come to Jesus, then you’ve come to “the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven” (Hebrews 12:23). Too many of us find our identity in ethnicity, race, or political affiliation. But our identity is in being part of Jesus’ church. Thank God, as needy and undeserving as we are, our names are written in heaven.

Good morning Pastor Jim. I hope to meet up with you again in heaven if not here. My husband and I follow you on BTDD and everything else and read your books. About 51-52 years ago, I sang at your house in Maplewood NJ with my brother and a friend to audition to sing at the BT. You were awaiting a phone call about your daughter Christy. Your neighbor Dee L.(privacy) had bible studies that we were going to. They had a big sheep dog named Bozo. I don’t know if you remember. We ended up singing at the BT (small church building) and we called ourselves The Joy of Jehovah (our friend was a messianic believer). The youth group was amazing to watch in action with their bible reciting game they played before the night service when we sang. Sorry for the long post but thought it would be interesting and I wanted to let you know you played a part in my life with fond memories. Thank you.
