- How seriously do we take God’s new covenant? It’s a better covenant with better promises, offering us cleansing, freedom, and peace. But we’ve got to pay attention to it. Hebrews says, “If God punished people under the old covenant when they refused Moses’ warnings, how much more us if we refuse God calling us into fellowship?” Let’s enjoy fellowship with our Savior, Jesus Christ, today.

My vote for the next passages to study is for the Book of Esther or Ruth. These women REALLY had big courage to follow God, esp Esther - who saved the whole nation of Israel. "I will obey my Lord and if I go in & perish then I perish!" WOW, tell me that's not what we need today!

As my program wraps up 2024 school yr. & do a Summer Program for the children left behind that are not Transitioning into Kindergarten I'm tiered emotionally, mentally, & Spiritually but NOT physically. It's been a struggle as I've PRAYED for this Center for ALL Staff, parents & ALL the Children. YOUR Devotionals PULLED me Through MANY TIME😢as I questioned NOT THE PURPOSE OF GOD but rather myself in my Motives of STAYING ON 👣 TRACK. I never tell you but I PRAY for you, your wife Ms. Carol, Mr. Stephen & sometimes Brooklyn Tabernacle Family. I get the wrong thought that out there in N.Y. you Have a PRAYING FAMILY especially Tues. Night PRAYER I think, you folks don't need this Teacher's PRAYERS when I'm just one person here across the river in N.J. Then I began to cry cause what if people began to think like that😔🤦There IS POWER IN PRAYER ! There have been replies from AWESOME FAMILY ONLINE PEOPLE I've NEVER MET FACE TO FACE FROM ANOTHER STATE. YOUR DEVOTIONS CONNECTED me TO OTHER PRAYERFUL PEOPLE. HEART FELT SERIOUS PRAYER IS SO MUCH NEEDED IN THIS 🌎 WORLD. Guarding our thoughts, actions & motives. THANK YOU PASTOR CYMBALA FIR YOUR FAITHFULNESS TO YOUR CALLING. So many Pastor's are OFF GOD'S PURPOSE & FALLING ONE BY ONE. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THIS COUNTRY. Pastor Jim & Crew, thank you for your devos. They help & encourage me. Today's is especially helpful bc I am a member of a church that is a reformed style church. I call myself a Christian bc I follow Christ Jesus, Him alone. I love & read all of scripture in context. Your talking about Jesus Christ & the new covenant is clarifying to me. There is so much that I do not understand bc it's a God centered mystery that I humbly rest in Him. The Lord gives me enough teaching & faith in His Word/By His Lord Holy Spirit for me to turn in neediness for Him to be my Lord Savior and my Hallowed Lord King God Almighty/Father. I like how you said I need to look into the NT to confirm what is for me in the OT. Jesus Christ is the New Covenant. Him Alone. He is the fulfillment of the OT; the Old T. Covenants.

Pastor Jim, so how did tithing find it's way into the NT, or the new covenant, someone said this Abrahamic practice when he tithed to melchizedek became codified into a permanent practice into the NT .
Good question, because I don't tithe as a form of GOD blessing me,I give,I believe in giving from a good heart ♥️ love from Trinidad
I was dismissed from playing trumpet 🎺 in a church after playing for 3 years by the pastor because I were not tithing he said its policy in his church, you cannot be in a position if you not tithing so I left the church.
Read: Matthew 5:17 what Jesus said about tithes and offering. He also said, "Give and it shall be given to you, good measure pressed down shaken together Men will give to you". That's a Win-Win situation! Praise God! Be Blessed.

@@larry6978 thank you, I tithed for years because that's what I was taught, along the way I began to be skeptical, so when I began to look for myself, and listened to other teachers regarding tithing, I thought 💭, my gosh I really need to read God's word to be aware of what I'm be taught and not be spiritually ignorant, today I still give with a joyful heart, thanks again, God bless you ❤️
