1957 AJS 18CS Cold Start

Extremely original and complete 1957 AJS 18CS (basically the same machine as Matchless G80CS but far more rare) 500cc single. This demonstration might help dispel that myth tale about how difficult these vintage thumpers are to start!

i had the actual matchbox, and it was a bit hard to turn over. maybe because i was 145 lbs in those days.
either name, everything worked, by the standards of the day, but it wasn't the best at anything. which is why they are history.
