Absolutely amazing how you navigate boat life with your daughters Isla and Halle. When Halle stopped on the climb and said look at the view, whow thats what adults would say. And little Isla wanting to do the climb. You have truly brought up 2 wonderful children under difficult and different circumstances. Hats off to you. Your a fantastic Dad.
Great video. The girls have no comprehension of what is going on, but at the same time, they have total faith and trust in you as their dad. And that can be the most stressful part. You are doing a great job 👍👍
Thanks yeah that’s it mate and I’m happy that’s the way it is, I’d hate for them to have any doubt or worry, I made my choices so that’s my burden to bear
That was awesome James like always, hope u and the girls had a great Xmas, and we wish you nothing but the best for the future Mate, those kids are living there best life, look after each other, stay safe & Happy travels 🫶🏻
If I came across these little sailing monkeys I'd be waving up a storm. You handled yourself so well considering how hectic that looked. I can't help but wonder if the girls take on some of your mad as cut snake personality traits. Glad you're keeping safety in mind with the climbs. Can't wait for the next one 🐮⛵️🌊
Haha thanks mate yeah definitely, I’ve never seen the girls scared sailing but I have a rule I never express any kind of panic to the girls so they have no reason to worry and it goes a long way, I’ve seen them more worried there was an imaginary wolf on the boat than any rough seas 😂
Great video James, the climb to the top at King George River ,some clown said 6out of 10 or something close 😂😂😂😂 We did get there with minimal water. One hour up,two to get down. Cape Londonderry,we were (lucky) to motor around with no wind. To do what you have done, with the girls 👏👏👏👏👏 Rob and Jan,TAHLAI TIGER from a sunny Gladstone, waiting on a prop, just as well we have two 😂😂😂😂😂
Great to hear from you mate! Yeah I would have spent more time in there trying to get to the top but there were so many charters coming in I was like nah let’s head out and meet the barge
Amazing exploration and gut-wrenching adventure, just what we expect here. The girls have the same boldness & hardiness as dad, just not the experience to take a turn at the wheel. Wow, definitely needing some rest now. I'm sure the "chickens" will behave. 🙂
We sailed around Cape Londonderry in 2011 and heeded the advice to stay at least 5nm offshore. Never seen so many divots in the ocean. Our dinghy was in the davits but got swamped several times. Same conditions 30kts from the SE. Once we got around the Cape it was normal weather. 2 years later another yacht from our yacht club cut the corner and paid the price.
That’s awesome mate, yeah it’s a rough ol stretch of water, I’d still come in within 2 miles of the marker personally but I just wouldn’t it 30 knots again 😂 I even met a bloke who said he routinely cut across the reef well inside but I’m not about that life haha
You are hilarious. Saying you are limiting what you are doing because of your little chickens age - LOL. Your two beautiful girls are in the 0.001% of children in Australia. Exploring and experiencing life in the truest sense. You are killing it. Jealous. Thank you for another fantastic vlog.
Another good video James. Myself I have been saving for some land. But every time I watch you all 😊 I keep thinking a boat is we’re i need to get back to being a old salty soul Cheers for the videos
Much love from the coast of Maine 🤙 ❤️ all the respect in the world for you brother, I have three girls and know first hand just how tough it can be at times👊
