    Wow what an adventure. Was my dream many moons ago but that is what it stayed just a dream. To do it with your 2 young daughters and not letting that stop you is such an amazing achievement.
    Well done and safe sailing.

      @thesaltyjocksadventureco.2689 Sure is. Was standing at the top of King George falls in May this year while doing the Oombulgurri track looking at a few yachts at anchor down the river. The Kimberley is so amazing and to see it from hard to get to places that not many others get to see adds to that experience.

    I would imagine being hard going to keep on going out on the ocean. Beautifully rewarding also all that you all get to see and experience.
    It's really special to see the simple things still wanted for and by the girls.
    Well done 😊

    Love the videos mate. Hey just a quick note. When towing with the leg downon the tender you must consider the gearbox is covering the miles of the yacht. It's common for charter boats and superyachts that tow thier tender to service the gearboxes according to the miles and hours of the tow vessel not the outboard itself. Personally I lift the outboard and use a rope loop to keep the tension.

    What a mammoth achievement. You all are amazing but as a mother myself, watching your girls get this experience is just incredible. I love how you are doing it while you are all young. My hubby and I leave in 82 days. Can you tell we are excited? We have a countdown widget that updates us daily. We aren’t as young and we are dragging our 14 year old daughter along. She doesn’t want to go but we know these adventures ahead will be life changing for her and us as well. We may see you and the girls out there one day. Merry Xmas. 🎄 ⛵️

    Thanks for posting such great drone shots. I work for the Australian Institute of Marine Science and am mapping the reefs and coastline of the Kimberley. I have been using your drone footage (particularly those at low tide) to verify our mapping. The hard part is working out the exact location of the shots to align them with satellite imagery. It is super handy when you mention names of places. Amazing job with all the filming in tough situations.

    I wonder how many people actually get it when they hear " single dad of two girls sailing solo on a boat" in some of Australia's most volatile and hostile waters. I am not sure how far you are behind on real-time and production schedules but yeah you deserve a damn good rest and recharge both as a single Dad and solo sailor.
    You mentioned it has changed you forever ... I will assume it is of a good nature... as I can only wish more people of your age and mindset understand the shackles of a "system" that needs you to play along so the "system" can flourish.
    Those such as yourself, willing to step outside said "system" are truly the game changers and inspiration to challenge the conventions that seek to confine and be responsible for the fact that " The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation" as Emerson famously wrote

    • @thesaltyjocksadventureco.2689
      @thesaltyjocksadventureco.2689  23 дні тому

      I couldn’t agree more mate. And most people don’t really get it, when we come into town and right now we’re stuck for a bit and i definitely really notice how all the things we’ve done don’t really correlate into the normal run of the mill living. Like I have all these skills and I know how to sail a boat in 35 knots around cape Londondary but that doesn’t really help with the day to day 😂 and unless you’ve seen that shit it’s very hard to explain haha.
      It definitely has changed us for the better and I’m about a year behind so I have a full coastal return trip that was so different to the first run. I can wait to start the videos for that, the upgrades made life a lot easier!

      Sometimes when you’ve lived in quiet desperation it takes a seemingly insane act in order to free yourself, or risk remaining there forever.
