Is there any downloadable programm to get my apc40 running with FL?
Hey I have one of these and your tutorial helped me set up my rig. I have a question though. What do you mean by changing midi channel number? What is this used for? Thanks in advance.
Midi channel numbers come into use when using an instrument that can load many additional instruments and talks to them over different channels. For example, kontakt talks on a port, that port has many midi channels so if I change the channel number while on that port I can change the instrument I am playing in kontakt. There are other uses for midi channel numbers but it usually has to be set up by the user.
Composing Gloves thank you for your quick response. Also I appreciate you taking the time to teach this content!
Good vid, any way of getting the APC40MKii to work with this method? It doesn't seem to be supported.
I would think so, I don't have one so I can't test it, but I think it would work. I have also heard rumors that FL is working on a way to do this for any controller, but its just rumor.
Thanks for the reply, I do hope they add it at a later date. I did manage to get ti working somewhat but its quite a complicated method involving loopMidi and some C++.well anyway thanks again for the reply.
I'm trying to do the same thing. How did you do it?
Awesome! Do you know any workaround to record multiple MIDI channels at the same time on FL Studio, without collapsing all of them in a single channel? (I'm trying to record the output of a Fishman Triple Play) Thanks for any tips you could give!
If you just select multiple instruments in the channel rack at the same time using right click on the green light right next to the channel name I believe this could be achieved. You'd probably have to assign each instrument channel its own midi channel via the menu. Does this help?
@@chrisrosenkreuz23 Just tried it! Unfortunately, FL Studio only records channel 1 =/ I'm hoping the implementation of MIDI Scripts on the last update will allow me to do what I need. Thanks for your response, man!
@@ostrabzar4442 are you sure you assigned the desired controller to their respective instrument channel via right clicking the instrument channel and selecting the desired controller+midi channel and afterwards selecting the desired instrument channels' green lights still via right click? I haven't tried it recently but I remember this working for me in the past because I had a live setup using multiple midi controllers each with their respective midi channels going to different instrument channels at the same time. (back then it wasn't as easy to change midi channels for the hardware and FL assigned them automatically in the order the selected channels were presented on screen). /Hey, this last thought made me ask myself maybe your midi devices are set to use channel 1 by default (they usually are if you haven't changed them yourself- or if they aren't drums or stuff like that, drums get assigned to channel 10 by default on some devices with piano patches having 1 by default in what I've seen)/
Anyway if it didn't work in the end I'm sorry I couldn't be of assistance
What about akai apc key 25, this works with it?
Not to my knowledge
good work man, mind sharing the script?
Sure, I'll post it and comment when I do
cool, thank you in advance
checkout.chec.io/GnjIVc finally got it done. XD Enjoy
Thank you
Composing Gloves it works with the launchpad too?
