I was willed my father’s 1982 Jonsereds 630. I brought it to help my buddy cut up a tree. His neighbor whom I absolutely love is an old timer and he looked at the saw when I pulled it out and said “That thing looks like it hasn’t ran in a looong time”. I scoffed and on the second pull she fired and his eyes got big as he laughed. After watching me cut with it and I’d stopped to sharpen and oil/fuel up he said “That damn saw sounds and cuts better than any saw I’ve seen in recent memory”. Laughing I said “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. She is a ripper. R.I.P. dad.
We love our Toyota 4Runner with 2 kids. I started using a small liquid tide soap jug as my chain oil jug… pours great, no spill/mess! Take er easy Tinman
I like your sawhorse , I’ve had both 630 and the 670 , right out of the box , both powerful . The 670 is a real screamer . I have a 630 carcass, l like to send you , Later 👍🇨🇦
I was gifted one of these and I'm super glad I found this video. I've used other saws here and there i am no skilled arborist but i knew when i ran it the first time it was a hot butter knife.
Yep those Jonsereds are great saws. Got a smaller one a 525 which love had since October 1987. She is loved. I've got the bug before I found your videos. Loved the timing videos. A case of beer got me a ms 291 that was blown up. Good times. Keep your stick on the ice!
I have owned a lifted Chevy Suburban for 27 years (lifted with 37" tires may not make the wife happy :) and a Jeep Cherokee for 21 years, and also several Grand Cherokees and crew cab pickups. My brother and his wife have a Highlander that they have been real happy with but a bit tight. I love the Cherokee but the Suburban is by far the best kid, wife, dog, and grocery hauler made. Buy a rust free vehicle and spray the underside with PB Blasters Surface Shield, put a roof rack on it for even more storage and enjoyed riding in comfort.
Mak'en noodles, always good stuff, now thats some nice wood. Your video was perfect in length 5min a side for my steaks on the BBQ x 4 turned out 158°F perfect medium cook. Same time to enjoy a beer as well. Nice saws, nice to see them working like the should in the wood. TC Tinman Mahalo 🤙🤙🤙

Hi Tinman , we wave here in Carleton place ont to!! Get a ton of useful information from you . Just wanted to know if you have ever built a husqvarna 359?thanks
I make a special point to wave at everyone in my neighborhood if we pass each other on the road. After over 20 years, there's still a few, that have never waved back.
Hey Tinman, you mention having done a popup in this saw. I would like to try this too but I can’t figure out how to mount the piston in the lathe without damaging it. How do you do this?
Gotta wave where I live too or you're a bad person. I do the two fingers up while I'm holding the steering wheel. Can you tell me the difference in a j-red 625ii and a 630 super?
@@tinmanssaws definitely harder on fuel they have an actual frame under them, idk much about the new ones and what power they have, none of the 4 runners ever been fast,, when ur used to the tundras nothing feels like it has any power, I've had everything from the 22r to the 5.7s, 2.4, 2.7, 3.0v6, 3.4, 4.0, drove the new 3.8 in a brand new taco 6 spd stick it was spicy, and 2 5.7s, if hadem all lol, oh an 3.3 lol wifes highlander

We require waving as well here in Western North Carolina. I'm known to do the two-finger salute myself.
Also from Western North Carolina! Cherokee County

Check out dyno Joe's mods. On UA-cam, in one of his videos he showed how to mount stuff on lathes
Awesome chainsaw Tinnman !

Hey when are you gonna get back to the old 038
Gotta wave where I live too or you're a bad person. I do the two fingers up while I'm holding the steering wheel. Can you tell me the difference in a j-red 625ii and a 630 super?
Check out Jeep Wranglers. Tons of aftermarket stuff to customize how you need it to be
That thing is super fast, Tinman…
Hi tinman when the next video built for the legendary 394xp low top
You can do that to my 630 if you want, it’s a short ride lol.
Everybody waves where I live but with a single finger.
I definitely want a jred or 2 in my arsenal
Hello, i have Jonsered 630 super 2,ported 24 inch holsforma bar,muffler mod.
Sequoia, 4runner, highlander, but 4runner is by far ur best bet
I like looking at 4 runners but they are hard on fuel and have no power lol. Hard to drive something like that here as we drive almost all freeway.
@@travisweldmaster7815 we looked at 4runners early on. The engine in them seems like it's the same one from the 90s. Very underpowered.
You need a gmc yukon.
Toyota Landcruiser should be considered.
The teeth on the chain sure are taking out nice bites.
The less congested areas require waving. You may need them someday.
Who needs an axe when you've got a 630 super, haha! I use my fastest saw to buck most of the time even in small wood, it's still faster.
Keren bos mantap 👍👍
Find you a Ford excursion!!!
Explorer or 4Runner.
hot dang im 1st
See with fuel prices ppl are dumpin their 350 suburbans
Get the Toyota, leave the jeep.
