"That's the last mistake you'll ever make" it's cool to see that even after calming down with age Shulk still retains some of his "I'll kill you" energy
Love the way Adam came back and crushed it with this DLC. The way he changed up his tone and added some gravel to his screams was amazing. Hearing him scream "Monado RAGE" for the first time I was like holy shit.
2:18 Idk why, but I really like this quote for Shulk in Chain Attacks. It's probably the battle quote that exemplifies his age and capabilities that come with his age the best to me lol Plus idk "Let me offer some wisdom" sounds cool in an ass kicking setting lol
Some references to 1 I noticed: 0:00 Same level up dialogue 0:57 References Dunban 2:41 Melia's chain attack line 4:07 Might be a stretch, but could be a nod to Melia again ("Your fighting spirit is mine!") 8:38 Fiora's line from Outlook Park 14:32 Gem crafting 15:20 Actually a reference to 2, but this is what he says in the DLC upon meeting Rex and his crew 16:04 Really feeling it I swear he also has a line about "the flow of battle" (again a nod to Dunban) but if it's in this vid I totally missed it.
the only time I ever heard the line at 0:57 was when I targeted the unique monster with naberius in it's name so I was almost certain it was a reference to mischievous naberius in xc1, is it actually a dunban reference?
He sounds a lot more Angry this time, which makes sense for he’s had to fight giant Evangelion ahh robots and god himself, a weird black fog, and now lost him arm fighting one of his used to be friends
1:39 here you realize that his last vision of the future came true, that was the last mistake he ever made and now I think I need to cry 1:57 I'm still not sure what he says here but I think it's either "They're hitting as good as they get hit" or "They're giving as good as they're getting"
Still wondering if Shulk and Rex can actually show up during the final fight in the base game like the dialogue suggests. I swear, I've tried lots of times now, but no dice
So I gotta know, did they run adams voice through a synth or something? Or is it just his voice direction to sound like that? He’s got this weird growl to his voice sometimes, (could just be old age) and it’s not an issue! It’s really cool!
No one in their right mind listens to "game journalists" anymore, but Resetera is a cut above with their horrendous takes. Howden stays, they should go...Under.
I didn't hear of that whole deal, but Resetera were fools if this is legit. The NoE localizationteam would have had a hard time recasting because Shulk's english voice is like...possibly the single most popular character voice in the entire Xeno Series? When that happens, you either find a very accurate voicedouble or you don't replace the actor if you can help it.
Yeah but it's going to be awhile. I'm trying to finish up fully sorting all the base XC3 English files after taking a break for a year. That way I'll have a full template I can use to plug the JP files into.
Yeah. I'm planning on doing videos for the Japanese voice files with subtitles. I just don't have an exact time frame for when those videos will be out because I got other video projects I'm working on.
@@CrossSockDance If that's all you need. Here: mega.nz/file/L8AzBIqJ#EdE0zBpxP3P37Z8HRfDPgGR0DeeXzc21vCEoCUtaqV8 I haven't gone through and sorted all the Japanese voice files yet. But if you need any more specific files for any of the characters, I can easily find them, unless they're one of the files that don't have a dehash ID (like the Ether Lift/Slide voice files for example).

14:32 choking back tears
Goddamn shulk
I literally teared up when i heard him say that, god i love this DLC.
8:37 WHY DO YOU MAKE ME FEEL THESE THINGS SHULK?!?
Yeah, I’d forgotten what it feels like
4:30 He says it with so much power
Lmao I love how i knew exactly what you were talking about before listening
MONADOOOOO BUSTAAAAA
The Godcleaver himself, I missed Shulk so much. Adam Howden always does so well with him.
"You may be stubborn, but so am I!"
"I accept that we lost, but I REFUSE to give up!"
2:10 Rawest Line ever
"WITH ALL THE POWER AT MY DISPOSAL!" Reminds me of how Zanza sounds 😆
love how shulk sounds like his vocal cords are already broken compared to 1 but still got that same old shulk energy
I'm not surprised that his vocal corfs are broken. He did scream "MONADO SOMETHING!!" Every 5 seconds
Love the way Adam came back and crushed it with this DLC. The way he changed up his tone and added some gravel to his screams was amazing. Hearing him scream "Monado RAGE" for the first time I was like holy shit.
"DON'T LOOK AWAY!" - 4:53
"YOU WITNESS A KING'S REVIVAL AND--"
Wait, wrong game.
4:30 everytime Shulk yells Monado Rage, I kept mistaking it was Malos.
Shulk: I’m not really feeling it.
A: 😡
Shulk: I can feel the power!
I find it hilarious that A treats Shulk like he's still 18.
I love how obviously older and more gravely his voice is compared to XB1. Its great texture.
Shulk in combat is a totally different person.
Shulk: I'm not Really feeling it
Matthew: I'M FEELING FULL OF BEANS
Adam Howden really outdid himself again. His Shulk voice is still as good as ever. Shulk is my most favorite Xenoblade character.
I could listen to Adam Howden forever, man. His reprisal as Shulk is absolutely fantastic.
Hey, that's neat. He compares Matthew to 'the beast' (a.k.a. Dunban)
2:18 Idk why, but I really like this quote for Shulk in Chain Attacks. It's probably the battle quote that exemplifies his age and capabilities that come with his age the best to me lol Plus idk "Let me offer some wisdom" sounds cool in an ass kicking setting lol

8:38 Fiora's line from Outlook Park
14:32 Gem crafting
15:20 Actually a reference to 2, but this is what he says in the DLC upon meeting Rex and his crew
16:04 Really feeling it
I swear he also has a line about "the flow of battle" (again a nod to Dunban) but if it's in this vid I totally missed it.
The flow of battle line is at 6:32.

@@theswagatron
Probably. Dickson calls Dunban a beast a few times from what I remember
8:36 ACTUALLY INSANE THEY DID THIS
fiora’s impact 😭😭‼️
Thank you for adding visual cues that signify seamlessly where and when Shulk offers these lines! It's a really stylish way of conveying information~♪
He sounds a lot more Angry this time, which makes sense for he’s had to fight giant Evangelion ahh robots and god himself, a weird black fog, and now lost him arm fighting one of his used to be friends
Adam Howden is still amazing
16:04 Didn't remember when he said this at all. Good to know what part it's from!
Shulk is so cute
Shukl will be my favorite character forever. His voice is legendary. I'm really feeling it! 😆

1:57 I'm still not sure what he says here but I think it's either "They're hitting as good as they get hit" or "They're giving as good as they're getting"
It's the latter
"it continues" is the same line Ethel uses in the main game when she uses a chain attack. Is there a reason for that?
The new monado buster voice line makes me wish i was Shulks son

It's closer to his standard voice when voicing Shulk in 1 he was actually putting on a bit of a youthful voice given he was a bit older than Shulk
When Monado Pasta
I'm glad Mr. Howden is still in the series in spite of Resetera's desire to get rid of him.
No one in their right mind listens to "game journalists" anymore, but Resetera is a cut above with their horrendous takes. Howden stays, they should go...Under.
Why the heck does ResetEra have an issue with him aside from it being usual ResetEra tomfoolery?
@@Reeveelution He liked some social media posts that hurt their feelings, which apparently is an offense that warrants recasting him.
Howden said some shity things on Twitter but he's such a good va that I don't mind that they keep bringing him back
