Thanks. You know how to check for transformer circulating currents when running in parallel and without load.

Hi, circulating currents only occur when the parallel transformers are not equal, this is usually caused by the difference in tap position and this will result in unequal windings which will produce a difference in no load voltage that will cause a circulating current.
To check this in PowerFactory, try to change some of the parameters of one of your parallel transformers and this will produce either a lower or higher no load voltage compared to others and this will result in circulating currents.
If both transformrs have exactly the same parameters, there will be no circulating currents as the no load voltage will be equal. I hope that help.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have 2 identical transformers, but working on different taps. I have isolated the load as well. Not sure which parameter to use for showing circulating current

Hi, you can use a CT to measure the circulating current for 3 phase transformers between the windings, you can probably use the same method to measure single phase parallel transformers circulating current.
I don't have a video on that yet, but you can watch my video on how to add a protection relay with a CT.
