I saw Jon opening for Billy in Nashville....what an amazing way to start off that night! At first I was upset that Billy had an opening act....that soon changed after hearing this guy sing and play. What a talent and truly gifted musician at the piano and songwriting!
Someone please give him a Grammy, that´s all I can think when I see him performing. So much passion, talent, and amazing voice, he´s incredible with his piano and his lyrics are my faves.

I love Billy Joel as well, and probably for longer than you (I'm that old). When I saw that someone was covering this song I was sceptical, I really wasn't sure anyone should. My friend, you nailed it, I truly enjoyed it beginning to end, and I think BJ would approve! I'm now going over to itunes to buy some of your music. :)
Sorry guys, but I have to somehow rain on your parade... This guy can sing... YES! He's good at piano playing... YES! He probably has heard Piano Man a million times and now he is able to sing the song and to match all notes correctly... YES! And he's looking quite good... as you see on the number of female comments.... And... that's it. Period! Being able to produce a kind of near by copy of the original song does not mean, he's being Billy Joel or even comes close to him. Go and watch some of Billy's live performances of Piano Man and you will certainly understand what's missing... Sorry, but it's not just about copying something. The original of Billy Joel has Billy Joel in it.... What's within this performance here... ? Okay, find the answer... ;-))
To be honest, Billy Joel's original was better than this, but Jon still did a good job. This version is just lacking that sorrow and maturity that Billy Joel has.

Apparently his brother also teaches piano too... music is SO Important to learn their parents were very smart to guide them into that ...
This wasn't intended to better than the original. Jon's just paying homage to a song that basically kick-started his infatuation with music.
