You added the cover over the switch, so we could not see what is being switched. That was exactly what I needed to see. Hmm, search for the next video.

Thanks for this video as my Dewhurst with Bakelite disc and long / short steel pins may have given up 😊

Very informative. I have the same drum switch and trying to wire it into a 115v single phase. Can you help me with a diagram to wire the drum switch? In my 1/2 hp GE, the starter coil and capacitor wires are J9 black and T8 red. These are the cross switched ones. Do the other wires under the motor access panel come out to the drum switch as well? And to what terminals? I’ve wired drum switches in the past, but this green Chinese one is confusing.

Ya if you need help let me know. I plan to do a 115v video in the future but I just haven't got to it.

if you could make a video with this switch and a single phase motor would be awesome

This (and the other switch videos) are great and super packed with info! I have an old Atlas lathe motor that I'm hoping to figure out how to wire to this kind of switch. Instead of the T I have 1,2, black, yellow, red, and green which 1 and 2 interchanged for the reserving. I think I have them figured out (or a good guess) but I need to wire it for 120v on the switch and that is tripping me up. For 120v with line 2 would need to be power and line 1 neutral as in the video? Anybody understand and can help?

Thank you for the comment. Sounds like I need to make a video on the 120v wiring of this motor.

What size wire did you use to wire it up? 12 AWG?

OMG this is frustrating. I watched the entire video and I am so confused. I have a single phase motor. power in is U1 and U2. Capacitors are V1 v2 and W1. One direction I got U1- v1 , U2-v2 connected. Reverse I got U1-V2 and U2-w1 connected. I have none of these wire designations in your video.
