How to make an RLCraft Xaphan Farm! (OP XP Farm)

- In this short video I show you how to make a quick and efficient xp farm in RLCraft. This farm does not work on the RLCraft hardcore config. This is the simple design I was taught a while back, and I am sure it is the same farm many RLCrafters know about. I have been hesitant to make a video on the Xaphan farm, since I do not like how overpowered it is, but no RLCraft sensei's channel would be complete without a video on one I suppose. I hope you enjoy the video!

One suggestion I have for this same farm is to extend the redstone trail and put the lever at the front of the farm. This allows it so whenever the stone forms you can quickly turn it off and on without having to move at all.

Also if you REALLY can't get it to turn back on. Take out both lava buckets and put them back in. I found that was the easiest way for me to reset it without turning off the redstone or doing anything complicated. Also obviously make sure it isn't backed up with stone.

@@elolgaming Lava will make stone when making contact with a short water stream (partial water block), will make cobblestone when a lava stream (incomplete lava block) meets water (so the opposite) and will make obsidion when a lava block meets a water block (complete lava and water block). idk if I explained that right or not, but as far as I understand, that is the case in minecraft
@@CasualtyYT ik that but the machine operates every tick, so it shouldn't be weird about making stone because the lava wont have time to drip down. even if it did then it would make stone every time it put the lava in the chamber.

are there any requirements for this farm to work like it being night or having a certain light level? and how can i see what version of RL-Craft I'm using on the Curse Forge launcher.
Built mine and it didn't seem to work entirely, it spawned 1 mob almost every minute or so and i did check and break any stone forming in the water.
I'm having trouble getting anything to spawn in it. Don't know if this has been nerfed.

Apparently the XP burns in the lava if you kill them while you keep it running. Just a warning. I'd recommend everyone builds 2-3 of these directly next to each other so you can turn them all on at once instead of having to wait for one chamber to fill.

@@CasualtyYT Yeah I'm trying to think of other xp farm ideas but at the end of the day nothing beats 3 xaphan chambers with an education 3 greatsword.

Great video btw. The farm helps a lot for exp, even though the random argus and reapers are super annoying in the early game, as they are very tough to kill that early on.
Oh actually, a good way around this that I just found is walling in the farm with blocks, then putting slabs for the roof. This makes the argus spawn outside, and they won't bother you.
so @Casualty i got a question advanced prot 1 is how much in normal prot and advanced sharp and sharp ?
From testing I did a while back, advanced sharpness II is a bit better than sharpness III, but sharpness IV is better than advanced sharpness II. By that same logic, advanced protection I is better than protection II, but not quite as good as protection III. Advanced protection IV about as good as Protection VI would be. I could do more testing to get exact data, but that is about how things turned out from my last testing on that

is there any way to get rid of the mobs that spawn from killing the zaphans? one of those lost me my hardcore run...
I believe you mean reapers being an issue? I do not know an easy way to deal with those. They're one of the reasons xp farms are rough in rlcraft! As long as you have at least a summoning staff on hand just in case you need to fight one, than you should be fine though. A single aegis can handle those, unless it is blighted or has some crazy affects. In that case you can always just flee. For sure though, because of the dangers of rlcraft, you shouldn't go afk with this farm with like an auto clicker for example.

It doesn't work in RLCraft 2.9, but it should still work in RLCraft 2.8.2, but not on the hardcore config or if you updated anything

Hey! So epions only spawn naturally on full moons, and full moons in Minecraft only occur every 8 days (epions also spawn during the amalgalich fight and in the end but you get what I mean)! You use beast treats to tame them, and everything is standard after that! Sorry about not being clear enough about it during the 100 days video

Hey sorry I would love to know how to find out how to update my rlcraft to the most current version of the ice and fire mod
On TLauncher you just need to overwrite your files with the newly downloaded ones found on the "ice and fire dragons" and "spartan fire" mod pages on cursedforge.com for example. It is easiest on the curseforge mod launcher though! On the curse forge mod launcher, click on your rlcraft picture. From there, click the three dots on the far right (settings) and from that drop down menu, click on "profile options." Now, check the box named "Allow content management for this profile." Now, exit the drop down menu and click on the "installed mods" tab at the top of the page to the right of your rlcraft "overview" tab. Now you will see all of the downloaded mods in rlcraft and an update arrow to the far right next to a lot of the mods. Only update the two mods "spartan fire" and "ice and fire dragons." You now should have dragonsteel in your rlcraft when you open up your game! I recomend making a new world after doing this though, as dragons in your old worlds may become invincible or your load may not load at all.

The xp sometimes burns in the lava, but it usually isn't a problem for people o:
I am playing on rlcraft version 2.8.2. If the mobs are spawning but you are not getting the xp, than perhaps stay closer to the wall to catch the xp as it comes out of the mobs. I am not certain why you are not getting the xp though, you are the first person who has ever gotten 0 xp from this farm. Maybe something is wrong with your files, I hope it doesn't become to big of a problem for you :c

He said hardcore config, and it is disabled by default. This won't work on the latest version though.
Lava kinda just stays dispensed so idk what special lava you guys got for this to work but ight
If you give an nput, the dispenser will take back the lava in the bucket in it's inventory

I've hhad this running for like 10 minutes, and nothing has spawned. I'm also not on hardcore... does the biome matter?

@@quinnblumberg9784 not entirely, but constantly check to make sure stone didn't spawn under lava, if it did turn the entire thing off and try again.

Usually biome issues can be a problem. Try building it in a different spot, preferably a more vanilla Minecraft biome. Even in those biomes it can be a bit finicky. Also, if your world is lagging due to too many entities already existing, than that could play a contributing factor to it not working. Even with the farm set up properly, sometimes it will work very slowly. This can be remedied by breaking the thing and rebuilding it, and making sure to break the stone that forms underneath it, and trying to stay in one place. Basically, the farm is spawning xaphan enemies so fast that your game is getting overloaded, so you should baby your game to make sure it works properly, or it will just not spawn in the mobs since it is overloaded. I don't know if any of this helps, but I hope it did. Have a nice day

What does hard config mean? The farm isnt working at all for me
the hardcore config is the difficult rlcraft that is downloaded on the cursed forge website. If you don't know what it is, than you are not playing currently on the hardcore config! If the farm isn't working, try turning off the farm, taking the lava out of the dispencers, and then placing the lava back inside. Make sure to double check that stone isn't being made either. Keep breaking any stone formed in order for the farm to keep working! I hope this helps, if not, I am sure it is a simple and easy fix that you will find on your own! In default rlcraft 2.8.2 though, this farm works 100%

hardcore config is a harder version of rlcraft, it's not even installed by default
i made this farm and when i started using it it says im messing with the balance of nature, should i be worried?
When that message pops up, it means that if you continue to kill mobs at that rate, then a chaotic mob will spawn as a result.
An argus will spawn after killing a lot of elementals, but those are not much of an issue to kill

Hello, i really need help, i have a survival server with one of my friends and today i tried spawning asmodeus so i can defeat it, at the second phase it's shield wasn't going down at all even after defeating all the astaroths, could anyone help me? i don't have a backup and i don't want to reset everything on the server exept maybe kill it with commands? anything exept full server reset
Yeah, this happens every once in a while with asmodeus! It is a common bug! The best solution is to grab a gorgon head and turn the asmodeus to stone. Mine that asmodeus statue, and then everything is good again. Sorry that bug happened though, that is unlucky! It is caused by a glitch with the mobs that fuel the asmodeus shield

there is a weird bug where the game sometimes gets stuck, basically if you look at the sun, you will see the sun is lagging. The sun will move down, than lag back up. The only thing to fix this is really restarting your game, and if that doesn't work, the seed may have bugged and you need to reset it

@@notcvas You can go into your games save folder, and make a copy of your world! You can then test the copy to see if it has the glitch as well, because it may be some sort of rendering error, and the files may be fine. If that doesn't work, you should try to make a new world and see if the new world you make has the glitch! If the new world has the glitch, than you should copy your save file to a new folder and redownload rlcraft. Than you should copy that save file back into your save folder. I hope some of this helps, it isn't a game breaking glitch usually. If you don't mind living with it, you can force it to become night time by sleeping in a hammock. You would than be stuck with the problem potentiall of it never becoming daytime tho, so idk if that is the best idea.
