I love the firefight additions, but I wish they'd add more customization to ODST. Imagine playing as marines, pilots, NMPD, or hell, even civilians. The base ODST model from the Halo 3 campaign would also be nice.

Yeah. There needs to be more ways to earn points than just weekly challenges. Gives you an actual reward for ranking up and finishing up seasons take too long.
I would love to have a 30 fps lock on campaign, as much as I love playing at 60+ fps it does get me nauseous when I play too long. Never really had that problem when I played the original copies, it also has a weird feeling that just get lost with higher fps.

With the current state of gaming and my disappointment with how Halo Infinite is being handled, it honestly gives me hope with how MCC is being handled and how recent releases like Elden Ring are doing. Caring about your fanbase and consumers is the way this should be done, and the MCC team is doing it well.

All I know is its been a long ass time since i did it legit and I did it today on Steam and got the achievement for the scarab gun, although i used acrophobia. Still satisfying, tho nothing will ever top getting that damn Banshee through the tunnels. The fact they accounted for people doing that really shows the OG dev teams ambition. I miss that kinda stuff.

The MCC team seems to have it together much more than the Infinite team. I'm really hyped for the flood firefight mode, especially since it has new combat forms and they regained the ability to drive vehicles like they did in Halo 2
Controlling AI allies has never been a feature in Halo outside of Halo Wars, and it would be wholly unnecessary and foolish to think it would be special-added for this game mode. With that said, I just wish you could get MORE allies to start with. 2 marines/elites don’t do you much good.
I thought they were done updating MCC after the last season was added last year. So that their focus could be on Infinite. That is atleast what everyone was claiming.

Your dude used to hold it pointing straight at the floor with the laser coming out a 45° angle
343 has really just made the MCC the perfect Halo. Adding crossplay for campaign, better custom browser, the skulls that Halo fans had to use mods to achieve, more game modes, etc. MCC is dope
It's almost perfect. At the moment, what I'm looking forwards to, is finishing the crossplay in all the titles, as well as mod support for the remaining titles. Then you can call it perfect, because what 343 didnt do, the players then have the freedom to do it.

Well, I mean the elites in Halo 4 and 5 look different compared to how they originally were. In fact, I'd say they look less healthy than before and that's why they're weaker. Not as slender as they were before 4.
This really is a great update! I did notice that the ODST Flood Form looks like the normal flood form but with black armor. Could've been a simple overlook. Love the update All and All

Coop in general is kinda fucked. On Halo 2 there are tons of bugs that can crash online coop games. Hope that is fixed and split screen is brought to pc.

Yes! Bandana skull for Halo 3 and ODST is really going to help on Legendary playthrough (albeit Halo 3 on Legendary is actually easy) and is especially going to be fun when compared with Acrophobia. Now we just need it for Halo Reach and 4 (especially 4).
I want the skulls with movement physics and grunt explosions to be added to Halo 3 and so forth. Me and my friends had a blast when explosions were large and common along with physics going wack.

What ever skeleton crew they have working on mcc is a hell of a lot better than the big budget full team live service of infinite. This is a awesome update, 2 maps and 1 mode (at release the other 2 are events apart of s2) isn’t.
With the acrophobia skull now in Halo 2, this just reminded me about the floating button. Back when people were launching themselves at it, we couldn't be 100% sure they were pressing the button. But now that you can float in front of it and press it like normal, I wonder if we can now truly conclude if it does anything. Has anyone tested this yet?
Loved the mcc collection since day 1. It was my first time being able to play through all the campaigns. I'm happy how far it's come. From halo 1 and 2 classic graphics fixes to the added modes and title's.
I usually like to experience and see new content myself, make things a surprise, but I can’t wait for the update to finish installing. Also wow those elites look really awkward with no death animation. Beggars can’t be choosers I guess.
Ive had a bug since season 6 or 7 for the pixel perfect skin. It just never gave me the skin for a challange i did, i still dont have it. Sent in a support ticket, now every update they check up on me to see if its still happening, but they always say "The update does not include a fix for this bug" but still i appreciate that they ask me about it every update lol. Someone at 343 is reading my emails good on them for that lmao
Hey they never fixed this main issue that I'm having with halo 2 s audio when ever you walk away from a character that is talking story dialogue you can't hear it they are supposed to come on to radio or all around the battle arena please let 343 know I'm so frusterated
Well technically, an ODST Flood Form isn't really "new", it's more of a rare thing to happen because of the lack of ODST units in the halo franchise. In fact, ODSTs are pretty rare in the trilogy, but this does add the potential for some new Flood Lore in the ODST universe. I'd say in order to really see ODST combat forms, you'd have to play "The Covenant", have at least _one_ of you ODST units alive and able to make it to the Flood portion of the level, and then hope that ODST unit is infected via pod infector, all being near impossible given that the ODST units are more than likely to die before you even make it to the part where you have to disable the barrier just before the flood come. Also, your marines and the Arbiter can make shit complicated given that they're too well aware of enemies and will mercilessly slaughter the flood before a pod infector can even get to the poor ODST that you're attempting to perform unethical experiments on.
I hope the bug fixes include co-op. I can't play some of the games with my girlfriend. Halo 2 is the worst, and the only one I ever wanna play too. She gets stuck on a freezing cinematic, whether or not I skip it. Then I spawn in and notice her dead body. But it's not even her's. I wish they would focus on helping everyone play before adding more.
An unnecessary addition that was added by the devs because they want the legacy of MCC, content or gaming, to be alive every second possible. And I can really appreciate that effort of passion and hard work.
I thought flood firefight would be the ability to play as them. This has been requested almost as many years as Halo has existed. So that's a disappointment, but the additions are interesting.
Hats off the to devs at mcc for this one. The fact that mcc surpasses halo infinite in active player numbers is kinda sad. But it's good to see mcc getting some new stuff.

I have a question, so now that H3 and ODST have the bandana skull and acrophobia skull does this mean that you can’t complete it on laso and get the achievement or will you have to enable all skulls bar those 2?
You can only get LASO achievements for any campaign in MCC through the LASO playlists only. And in LASO playlists all the skulls which benefits players are disabled.

Idk how they are now but even on normal difficulty (usually play legendary) the elites were HARD in the insider program

The eye patch skull is a huge thing for me. I use gyro aiming, and it feels so much better without aim assist

This is a awesome update, 2 maps and 1 mode (at release the other 2 are events apart of s2) isn’t.
Ahhhh the superior Current Halo.
With the acrophobia skull now in Halo 2, this just reminded me about the floating button. Back when people were launching themselves at it, we couldn't be 100% sure they were pressing the button. But now that you can float in front of it and press it like normal, I wonder if we can now truly conclude if it does anything.
Has anyone tested this yet?
This is the type of shit i DREAMED about as a kid when Halo 2 came out, AI allies and enemies in a single player game, survival mode
Loved the mcc collection since day 1. It was my first time being able to play through all the campaigns. I'm happy how far it's come. From halo 1 and 2 classic graphics fixes to the added modes and title's.
Props to the MCC team for keeping it clean! A great update to perfecting the MCC further.
You can even get friendly combat forms. I was playing this mode and one of the marines got infected but instead of fighting me it fought the flood

Ive had a bug since season 6 or 7 for the pixel perfect skin. It just never gave me the skin for a challange i did, i still dont have it. Sent in a support ticket, now every update they check up on me to see if its still happening, but they always say "The update does not include a fix for this bug" but still i appreciate that they ask me about it every update lol. Someone at 343 is reading my emails good on them for that lmao
Hey they never fixed this main issue that I'm having with halo 2 s audio when ever you walk away from a character that is talking story dialogue you can't hear it they are supposed to come on to radio or all around the battle arena please let 343 know I'm so frusterated
Well technically, an ODST Flood Form isn't really "new", it's more of a rare thing to happen because of the lack of ODST units in the halo franchise. In fact, ODSTs are pretty rare in the trilogy, but this does add the potential for some new Flood Lore in the ODST universe. I'd say in order to really see ODST combat forms, you'd have to play "The Covenant", have at least _one_ of you ODST units alive and able to make it to the Flood portion of the level, and then hope that ODST unit is infected via pod infector, all being near impossible given that the ODST units are more than likely to die before you even make it to the part where you have to disable the barrier just before the flood come. Also, your marines and the Arbiter can make shit complicated given that they're too well aware of enemies and will mercilessly slaughter the flood before a pod infector can even get to the poor ODST that you're attempting to perform unethical experiments on.

I hope the bug fixes include co-op. I can't play some of the games with my girlfriend. Halo 2 is the worst, and the only one I ever wanna play too. She gets stuck on a freezing cinematic, whether or not I skip it. Then I spawn in and notice her dead body. But it's not even her's. I wish they would focus on helping everyone play before adding more.

An unnecessary addition that was added by the devs because they want the legacy of MCC, content or gaming, to be alive every second possible.
And I can really appreciate that effort of passion and hard work.
I thought flood firefight would be the ability to play as them. This has been requested almost as many years as Halo has existed. So that's a disappointment, but the additions are interesting.
I sure wish I could do matchmaking on Linux

Hats off the to devs at mcc for this one. The fact that mcc surpasses halo infinite in active player numbers is kinda sad. But it's good to see mcc getting some new stuff.

My jaw literally dropped when I saw the Flood driving around. This update is insane!
It gives me hope that if they could get driving pathfinding down in MCC, surely the same could be done for bots in infinite someday

i just saw that the player odst flood form is just a recolor of the halo 3 marine flood form. its recolored to be a charcoal grey

I have a question, so now that H3 and ODST have the bandana skull and acrophobia skull does this mean that you can’t complete it on laso and get the achievement or will you have to enable all skulls bar those 2?
You can only get LASO achievements for any campaign in MCC through the LASO playlists only. And in LASO playlists all the skulls which benefits players are disabled.
@@animelover5499 that’s not 100% true as I played the halo 3 campaign missions on LASO and I still got the achievement. (I didn’t play it on the playlist) but you pretty much covered my question 👍🏻👍🏻
