Really nice work, I really needed to change mines out because of the knob to the volume spazzes out, of course you can use the steering wheel but I think it was time for a brand new radio.
Thanks for the video. Quick question, how to manage to configure the time in the car? The manual says to use the radio... The same one we all want to swap :P
The factory touchscreen head unit with the android modul upgrade solution is much better cause it’s gives you the oem look and the latest technology at the same time. I would not have the heart to messing up the dash like that. Especially with the blue lighting head unit since the whole dash has the green colored screens and gauges. It just simply eyesoreing to me. The sound quality of the oem head unit is not the best on the world but i found it fairly good. I had no problems with it.
Y’all lucky in USA they give you CUP HOLDERS in yo Jagucars bro! We dont get NONE in our suckas! We has to hold dat hot coffee 😧 SUPERB VIDEO I managed to order this adaptor plate from Kentucky and they shipped it to me in UK. COZ THEY DONT MAKE these adaptors here 🤷🏼♂️ We are like 50 years behind Y’all in USA here in UK thank you👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 liked and all the other stuff
Well the thing about this radio is the wiring is not completely the same as a normal radio. I have hooked up to a of radios but I didn't know I needed a antenna adapter so I had to order that once I done took everything out and also the 2 black wires that sits under the factory harness coming from the car. I've noticed that once I put the harness back in the factory radio and leave the bottom harness(2black wires) off I get no sound but it still comes on. So what I started to do is while I got the radio playing to make sure wires (speakers) are correct while it's playing I cut front left (-) first but guess what the damn speaker is still playing so now I'm wondering does it have something to do with the cd changer and all in the trunk. That's why I wish you wouldve did a video on the wiring part. I'm also an electrician (19yrs) and still didn't get it so I gave up on it until the antenna adapter comes in.
You have to run a 9 conductor from the back of the aftermarket unit to the trunk where the factory Amp is. From there you would have to find speaker harness and splice the 9C to the factory speaker wires.
You should have some numbers on the radio once you go to a station you like hold down number 1 until it beeps or shows you some indication that the station is saved
@@jptheinstallguy I would like to replace the factory unit in my 2006 Jaguar S-type, what module is needed to make the steering wheel controls work? Thank you!
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorial video, where are you located?
liked and subbed, I wasn't even planning on changing the radio but you made it look so easy that now its on the list. Thanks bro

colour of the screen/buttons wouldn't be a problem as they can be changed with rgb colours

Is it possible to just build in the OEM display instead of the factory shitty radio? Like is it possible in terms of cables etc. ?
