    What does Mode “Duo” and voice stack actually do?

    • @AiynZahevSounds
      @AiynZahevSounds 3 місяці тому

      Duo lets you play 2 notes, with one oscillator doing 1 voice, and the other doing the second voice. This lets you do some pretty interesting things in some circumstances. For example if you take the Moog filter it distorts a lot. When you run two oscillators of different frequencies through distortion you get certain overtones, depending on the ratio between the oscillators. So when you use duo mode the ratio between the oscillators can change with every chord etc, creating different overtones for every note change potentially.

      Do you know if there is a way to put 1 voice in stack? Like a one shot, and no modulate, sometimes you want that and u haven’t been able to see if there is an option to do it

      @@serpieromusic I don't think I understand what you mean. Can you explain it any other way?

      @serpieromusic 3 місяці тому

      I’m sorry for that. I did not explain myself correctly, actually I’m talking about the voices, I see the least you can go it’s 2, is there a way to go only one voice? So it’s always like a one shot, like in other synths, so maybe you want a ‘stab’ for example that it’s always the same sound. I have not been able to achieve that in diva.

      @@serpieromusic Ok maybe you mean phase reset? Where the note is always exactly the same, including the attack portion of the waveform? If so, yes you can do that. You have to go to trimmers and change the Transient Mode to OSC Reset

    You cant really come up with sounds like this , unless you've actually went to school in sound design.
    It's not for the mere mortals

      This simply is not a true statement, applying yourself in nessary effort is what is required

      @@blackout2able What's the fun of AI making it though? As a creator, you want to create, not generate, right?

      It’s factually not true though because I didn’t learn sound design from any school
