The Great Otway National Park stretches from Torquay through to Princetown and up through the Otways hinterland towards Colac. The park features rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, rock platforms and windswept heathland and beautiful spring wildflowers. In the north, the park features tall forests, ferny gullies, magnificent waterfalls and tranquil lakes.
We're starting out at Maits Rest. This is a must-see for anyone passing through the Otways; a stunning 30-minute loop walk through one of the few patches of temperate rainforest in the region. Towering myrtle beech trees - some 300 years-old - and an understory of lush greenery and tree ferns lends an other-wordly feel to this area.
After the tranquility of Maits Rest we go on the lookout for a bit of adventure at the Otway Fly Treetop Walk. The 600 metre-long, 25 - 30 metre-high elevated walkway provides unrivalled views of the unique beauty of the region’s flora and fauna, from the rainforest floor up into the soaring heights of the treetops. In the centre of the walkway is a 47 metre tall Spiral Tower and cantilevered walk perched above Young’s Creek. Not for the feint hearted!

Hi Tara! Yes it's mine too. If you're up for an amazing drive the road between the Otway Fly back and to Apollo Bay is simply stunning. It's route is C159 and runs from Beech Forest through to Tanybryn, then turns right back to Skenes Creek on the coast, and it is simply the most beautiful drive through the Otway rainforest. Enjoy your trip and thanks for your support.

Lovely video. I made a special point of travelling north to see the Daintree and I've been down on the GOR three times and didn't bother going to see the Otway rainforest. I'll make up for it in January next year when I'll be sure to visit Thanks for the travel tips.

At least in January it'll be warm, but also busy, so make sure you book anything in advance 👍. Such a beautiful part of the world.
