I got the Igloo model at Costco too. The main reason I chose it was because the internals are made by Dometic, at half the price of an actual Dometic dual zone model, plus Costco’s incredible return policy.
Went through 3 of those igloo coolers. Seal was bad on the first second one the fridge just decided to turn itself off and could never go back to “on” and the third one the plastic where the controls are was delaminating making the buttons very difficult to use. ended up picking up a Goal Zero Alta80 for the same price as the Costco igloo. Waaaay better build quality but in my testing the Costco igloo was extremely efficient like 10 W per hour and the Alta is about 12-15
Hello. Thank you both for a great video. I did however got a little confused when you spoke of ice chips. I’m trying to cut out the cost of dry ice. So to clarify- these are electric- I won’t need any ice or dry ice- & I can use a jackery or a battery depending on which one I choose- correct? Also how many watts for a jackery is needed to use for the igloo? And the middle euhomie (sp-lol!) Thanks again.
Exactly, they run on electricity so no need for ice. All of these models go down below 0 degrees. The Igloo never needed more than 100w, both of the smaller coolers only needed 50w while cooling, then they idle at around 5w so yourJackery will be more than enough. Now the one in the middle, as well as the one on the left, can be used as either a freezer or fridge. Just depends on what you set the temperature at. Thanks for reaching out!
Me again. Also the one in the middle- it’s a freezer or only fridge. I know it’s not dual like the igloo- but wasn’t sure which. I read on Amazon & most people used as a fridge one said freezer so…
You guys are looking buff. The coolers, too. Thick, square, strong all around.

Great points! I heard the same thing about the Dometic components but forgot to put it in the video! Two very good reasons to consider the Igloo!
Thanks fellas. I appreciate this.

I love that about Costco. You can’t beat that return policy!
