- A 4K Guided Walking Tour of Athlone Town in County Westmeath, The Republic of Ireland.
Situated 8Km from the geographical centre of Ireland, Athlone is a colourful and historic town on the banks of The River Shannon. Join me for a guided walk through the narrow streets of the Town Centre and we will see among other things The River Shannon, Athlone Castle and Bridge and The Church of Saints Peter & Paul. Athlone is also famous for being home to the oldest pub in Ireland. Sean's Bar dates back an amazing 1000 years and I couldn't resist stopping in for a pint of Guinness.
Athlone is approximately 100KM for Dublin City and is easily accessible by car and rail. It is a beautiful and friendly town so is certainly worth adding to your itinerary.

I'm glad to see the statutes to honor those who fought for Irish PPL on the other hand the US started cancel Culture(history), taking down a lot of historical statutes. Lovely candle between Guinness.

We walked in a very cozy place. The many colorful houses are beautiful even in this gloomy weather.

My friend and I painted the mural at 23:36 . Quirke's Motor Factors, the blue wall VW beetle and another wall at Quirke's but you cant see it in your video.

Half the town has closed shops. My wife and I walked down the streets of Athlone and couldn't believe the amount of vacant business premises that are derelict. Crazy for a town like Athlone.
