There are two sign convensions used in optics:
1) conventional
2)cartesian
In nepal conversational convensions are used but in india cartesian convensions are use.....both are true

Don't get confused watch carefully it's Convex mirror not concave .
Hence U =-7 because it's outside the mirror not inside
V=+1 because it is inside the mirror
F= +2 it is also inside the mirror
Basically confusion because you are assuming it as concave but it is a convex mirror.
It's simple enough yrr..jusz try again n u can do it

Beta pehle theek se apna concept clear krle tu khud. Direction of incident rays is always +ve. Theek hain. And compulsary nahi hai ki object left par hi hoga. Theek hai padhne wale.
