A Little Time Out with Tater Tot!

- While needing a much deserved break from renovating the cabin, my beloved daughter, aka "Tater Tot", flies in from the West of Canada to see me for the first time in the East. We go whale watching and kayaking in Saint Andrews by the Sea in Southern New Brunswick.
Camera Notes:
I used a GoPro Hero 10 right out of the box, plus a Sony FDR AX53, while Tater Tot was using an Osmo Action Camera and an iPhone 13.

Your Daughter is a Sweet Soul. So nice of her to allow us along on your adventure.
Dad and daughter, some of the biggest smiles I have seen. Time with children is so precious and so difficult to get. But there is also nothing better than seeing your child grow up, become independent and successful. But the old heart wrenches and twists as they leave.
And our love grows…

Been a good couple of years since Tater's last appearance...and she had dialogue in this one! Can't blame the little spud for preferring left coasting over right, though. Wait 'til she's had her fill of the high life and urban adventure, and the day will come when she appreciates the peace and quiet you go so far to seek.

A few years ago, Slim, before you left Alberta, Tater Tot was briefly featured in a video clip that had something to with car batteries. It's better than good to see her once again, this time getting to spend some quality time with her dad.

How beautiful and wonderful to spend time with your daughter! One of the greatest gifts a parent could ever receive.
Campfire roasted corn is one of my favorite foods.
Just a tip - I like to soak my corn on the husk in water for an hour or so before putting it on the fire. It helps by steaming it and keeping it fresher looking rather than drying it out and making it more chewy or rubbery.
Tip 2 - After being cooked, if you cut off about 1 inch of the stalk end of the ear, then you can hold (with gloves because it is hot) the ear by the silk end and just squeeze the ear out. If removes all the silk fibers with the husk.
