Its most odd I noticed that as well. I set the points on this engine to 10 thou and the engine sped up again. Strange. Just can't seem to get it running as sweetly as your WD8. Not sure where to set the points gap? Dan
keytesofessex Yeah they should. But it's not the original magneto and the flange is wrong so I had to move the timing to get the magneto to trip at tdc

Shouldn't the two dots line up at TDC . ? Yours looks like it's set to BDC

Ah ok. That explains why mine is also at BDC when the marks line up.

hi mate what spark plug do you use in the wolseley as ive nearly finished restoring one, then i can see if she,ll fire into life cheers paul
Sadly it didn't last long.. runs like a dog again after 20 minutes or so :/
