The 6000a and Vena II seemingly have some similarities as they are owned by the IAG. That said, the Vena has a lower measured df so a looser bass output that provides the warmth and support for lower mids which may play better with speakers with a higher sensitivity rating while the 6000a has a higher df, known to be more analytical with a bit more power output perhaps for speakers with a lower sensitivity.
Still, the ranges are not so different but each having a slightly different coloration? IAG also has a Mission amp with similar specs. That's 3 brands under one group, 3 competing devices in a more or less similar price range.
It appears that most people are happy with their purchases so a winning combination for IAG.

It is quite logical when you put it that way, but I did not know that IAG owns both companies. But the signs where there. And quite good analogy with dampening factor regarding both of this amps.
I know a lot of people with audiolabs but not that many with quads, i quite wonder are their all happy and with what exactly. But definetly great win for IAG.

I have two Vena 2 Plays. One I use as a preamp, the RCA output feeding a pair of Quad QMP Elite monoblock power amps (each contains two upgraded 909 current dumpers in bridge mode) which drive Quad 2812 electrostatics. The speaker output of that Vena 2 Play is used a voltage amplifier to a Quad L Series subwoofer (the big one they made).
The other Vena 2 Play I use in the TV setup, feeding a pair of Quad 9L monitors, with the RCA preamp output feeding a Quad Lite subwoofer.
I use DTS Playfi for the control app. on both. I didn't much like it to start with but have now got used to it, and with Qobuz the main system sounds superb...and the second system very good on TV into the optical input and the DVD into the Spidf RCA input.
As I say Playfi gets a bit of getting used to - for example, the signal via wifi goes through the tablet (Android) that I use...but this is no problem really, and I can't understand why some reviewers have got upset about it. BTW the 'Transfer' mode available so that the signal goes straight to the streaming section of the Vena is totally hopeless in my view, and I never use it. The system via tablet and Playfi is 'gapless'...but not in 'Transfer', although Playfi claims it is.

I have a Quad Vena (first version)Integrated amplifier and Audiolab 6000A with me. I like the Vena sound than Audiolab.

Well that is the reason this review exist, to present two sonic alternatives. And give listeners a choice when they are choosing to buy a new amp. Really thanks for watching my review!

I believe the Quad Vena uses the LM3886 chipset, same as the Cambridge AXA35. Have you heard the AXA35 and do they sound similar?
I also liked the Audiolab 6000A but found it too sterile for my tastes.

Unfortunately I never heard AXA35 so I can not compare. But if you find Audiolab 6000a sound too sterile, than Vena II is defiantly more for you.
