Wow, what an honor! Thank you for the video and the support. I wholeheartedly recommend your try-first-support-later approach, which is why I offer so much for free.
I'm going to be drawing a lot more large scale (44x32") maps this year - I'll keep your wargame-specific recommendations in mind! :)

My pleasure, Ross. We need to raise awareness of good products, and I'm doing my lil bit!! Getting some of your smaller Desert boards made up this week for another project ;-)

I've seen these maps too. I didn't get any because of the images on them, buildings, trees, etc. The are really nice though. Wylock has mentioned putting glue on the backside to help them flatten out after the boards have started to warp.

As long as the images aren't too much, these are very usable, though there are a lot of the designs that are too busy. I've been communicating with the designer and he says that some designs, more suited for wargaming, might be forthcoming this year. I used one for the One Page Rules - Dark Retribution videos and it actually looked really good with the Minis.

i like those simple 3d desert-ish buildings, where did you get those?

Hi Nick. The buildings I used are from ages ago, I built them when I was demoing Savage Worlds for Pinnacle. The company that made them "papermodels.at" doesn't seem to exist anymore, but the product is still on Wargames Vault. I can't say if the file itself is still on their store.... it's 50% off at the moment. Here is the link, if you wanna risk it: www.wargamevault.com/product/20392/Desert-Village

Nice! What are they printed on? Sorry if I missed that, just wanna know what to tell the people at the print shop if I decide to print some of these myself.

I asked them to print and mount on Foamcore, or Foamboard as some places call it. Others call it sandwich board I think? It does tend to bend/warp a little when in a hot area, so over here I need to have the air-con on as much as possible. Getting a couple more done this week if possible.

Love that style of creating a surface. Similar to some dungeon floor plans published by standard games which I've had for decades. The art is perfect for imaginary environs. Don't really want anything too "real"
Spot on regarding RPG v wargame. Fantastic resource for the former, with no need for boxes and boxes of scenery. Wargame - wise I do like a virtually empty field with a couple of anchor points to keep those flankers at bay!

I don't think the art style will suit everyone, but I love change and I love being different and having different art styles on the tabletop helps to keep things interesting. Plus Ross mentioned there will be more Wargaming suited designs coming!!

I want to get one printed. What kind of paper did you choose ? Did you print it as a poster ?

Hi and many thanks for watching. I had these printed at a local Printing Shop. They used Glossy Photo Art Card 230gsm, then mounted them on Foamcore. It could class as "Poster" printing, but better to confirm with the shop themselves. I had some others printed earlier on thicker card but without the Foamcore backing and they are a problem to keep flat since I store them rolled in a tube. Hope that is of help 😃
