  • Looks good, sounds good, easy to handle, low ride height, loads of torque, and loads of fun up to legal speeds. great first big bike bike.

    I got mine 2 years ago as a 1st bike finally at age 40. LOVE it! Altering some things right now but beautiful out of the box. Smooth, low for shorter riders and if your taller like me the mini apes make it pretty comfy. The only stress it has ever caused me was picking it up from the dealer for its 1st ride because I kept telling myself not to drop such a bike day 1 haha

    Well thank you! I have been toying with this as the bike I am going to buy. I am not technically a beginner, yet it's been so long since I've ridden that I might as well be.
    I love them so much, thank you for validating my choice!

    This was my choice for my 1st big bike. Absolutely love it. You should remove those from reflective lights from forks. Easy too remove an bike looks better without them. They are not required for an mot

    Yup couldn’t agree more. Such a great bike. I see the repairs went well after your collision ( lady hits your bike while you’re standing still).

    I had the Harley 883 for my first bike 4 years ago. It sounds amazing but rattles you to bits. I’ve been looking for an upgrade for a few months, and I’ve gone for the bobber stealth edition which arrive in 6 days straight out the wrapper. I’m so excited.

      Oh i also want a 883, or maybe a 48, the sound of those bikes is something special, but i think the speed, and performance of the bobber will be more fun for your upgrade riding

    my first bike at 53 years old. past a year ago. raised eyebrows from everyone when i tell them it’s 1200cc but she’s a pussy cat. it feels a thousand times less dangerous than the 125 i learned on. you learn to ride it so the bumps don’t matter as much after a few months. 3rd gear is so much fun. i’ve ridden nearly 5k miles in the year i’ve had it. i absolutely love mine. 🤘🏻. only thing i’d change is i’d make the entire bike slightly bigger. when sitting on it it feels big. but i look massive on it. 6ft 1.

      I share your opinion on the 125 in my safety course being sketchy … out of curiosity, do you remember what kind of bike it was ?

    Yeah, that’s my next bike. Saw it at the Bike Show on the weekend, felt comfortable, I prefer my legs forward as opposed to like riding a horse, so this is great. Definitely will change the exhaust, put a short rear guard on and do the under seat rear light cluster. Think it will be a keeper for me 👍 Do you find it has a shorter turning circle ?

    • @domsbits3922
      @domsbits3922 5 місяців тому

      Not the shortest turning circle. Parking it close to the wall in the garage is a bit of a faff. But not noticed it while riding

    Though it has to be said that It's weight and lack of agility is not a great advantage if you're a beginner

    • @midlife-crysis
      @midlife-crysis  3 місяці тому

      Agility can be seen as a negative. I test Road a sports bike a 660 Daytona and it is very agile. But man it was hard to handle smoothly at slow speeds.

    Lean angle.. is it ever a problem on winding roads when you're giving it a bit of thump or does you're riding style just adapt? My friends all ride sport bikes and I'm coming from a naked and I'm worried I won't keep up on rides? I'm hoping with the amount of torque this beast has I'll soon catch up after slowing down for the corners? Honest opinion????

      @@crowboy9818 fact…. You probably won’t keep up with sports bikes. But you will sound better than all of them. This is a pleasure bike not a race bike. Ride your own ride.

    How tall are you? I’m 6’3” and curious if this bike is too small for comfort and if I’d look too big for it

      181cm. So just under 6 foot.

      @deathbycake2185 Місяць тому

      I am 6'3 and sat on one in the dealership as I was also worried like you but tbh its not that bad! they even offer forward foot controls if you so wish and the bars can be raised with mini apes to help your posture. That being said tho I am a skinny 6'3 (like a rake) lso my main issue was more legs than anything :D

    Is it good for daily bike?

    • @midlife-crysis
      @midlife-crysis  5 місяців тому +2

      A daily bike is one you don’t mind being dirty. I love it too much to get it dirty, clean it after every ride. This is a special occasion/ good weather bike. rather than the mundane every day ride to work bike. an every day bike would be my Triumph 400x

    Great second bike. Hands down the most impractical motorcycle on the market. Chassis, engine hp and ftlbs lowest in its class (Scout, Nightster, R12)

    • @midlife-crysis
      @midlife-crysis  3 місяці тому +1

      No one would buy this bike for its practicalness. So that’s a pointless observation. Looks, sound and torque at low revs this is the leader in very class!

  • @aesoundforge
    @aesoundforge Місяць тому

    Not sure I agree its good for an absolute beginner. It has enough power to get you into trouble very fast. Especially the low end torque. Also its too expensive to drop! Make all your mistakes on a less expensive bike. Just my thoughts. Ive owned mine for 2 years and its my 3rd bike..

    • @midlife-crysis
      @midlife-crysis  Місяць тому +1

      Very good point. Will change title to “good first BIG bike”. All the drops should be done on a 125cc while learning.
