People panicking he'll lose his place to Moreno don't know how good Aina is. He's actually a right back who's really good at left back, and now we have a new left back Moreno on loan Aina will go RB. His minutes are secured for sure.
To me, Aina is probably 85% likely to go to RB. However, you are 2 good games gone and have 4/5 as horrendous fixtures for NFO. When I have full clarity on his position he'll be back. It is an extremely harsh sell though, not sure why anyone who owns Aina would have sold.

Are we underestimating the impact that the loss of Andersen and Olise has had on Palace. If they also lose Guehi, will Eze still be able to perform like he did last season? 🤔
Not really. You have market data and third party team models that try to understand how CRY can move on after a loss. The underlying data so far for someone like Eze still remains strong. Is there defense potentially quite a bit worse? Could be the case, but they're also signing Lacroix. I just think that there is no need to 'overreact' when a lot of other pieces of available data to us try to reflect the changes already and haven't jumped out.
Should've included Soucek. He has the most shots among the mids that are of range 5 to 7, more xG and xA than the rest and is playing really high up the pitch.
This is where a bit of historical data is useful. While obviously he’s playing a key advanced role he still has City next and we have someone like Marcus Tav with better xgi too. Doesn’t mean they’ll get featured on the cs until I’m a little bit more confident it’s repeatable

Amad has the right wing locked down, he is our most inform attacker, while Ten Hag is starting to lose patience with Rashford, his form is atrocious. I reckon Rashford only has one more chance to prove he is good enough to start, but if he is poor again against Liverpool, I'd expect Rashford to get benched for Garnacho after the international break.
I agree with that but things do change quite quickly in football. I also don't want to suddenly just be changing up the pecking order entirely for MUN week to week. If I see Amad start the next game that will give me a LOT more confidence though.
I'm not at a great rank either. Picking FPL assets is about holding assets for at least 3/4+ weeks at a time and hoping results still go your way based on good logic and planning. Things can turn quickly :)
Great content, as always. I'm only surprised you like Sels but ignore the Forest defenders. Sels low save pts potential, even a risk he gets dropped, and you have to play him every week. While they have solid 4,5 defenders that can be rotated. Not just Aina or Murillo, but now also Milenkovic. Nearly 1 xG in his first game, avg of about 3 goals/season at Fiorentina and I expect his minutes will be good.
I think it's just about overall faith in their defence not being as high to matching their last season standards. Keep in mind they have played the 'easy' fixtures so far so it's still a bit of a wait and see for me. I agree there are plenty of options to invest into though
You forgot Rice .... He is playing No 8 and getting more fwd. As ode and saka are moving to the right rice takes the center in the box plus he takes CK
I think we always knew that. Doesn't mean he's actually a high volume shooter at all though. Rice hasn't taken any advanced shots and not much has changed from the Rice of last year.
on a WC would u pick mbeumo and then have a planned transfer to jota in gw4 with monety ITB, or just start with jota. Planning to have wissa to rotate with JP so maybe start mbeumo for this fix and then sell to Jota for the 2 prime fixtures is smart.
If you plan to go Jota anyways just go Jota. I think you can use this logic with Eze too if you plan to go with Mbeumo but want to make an immediate FT. To me Mbeumo is actually probably a worthy hold for a long time in a team
I've had the exact same idea. Southampton are playing very sterile possession play with considerable weakness to fast counters, so Mbeumo could be in for a haul. If I didn't have Palmer I would even be tempted to give him the armband. My main issue is that I already had Jota, taking him out and back in would cost me 0.1m which effectively means I need a 0.5m downgrade elsewhere.
I'm curious that you think Minteh is a better option than Mitoma. Mitoma looks like he did 2 seasons ago , dangerous out wide and when he comes inside. I've been thinking about switching out a goal keeper to find the extra money for Mitoma! Do you think Minteh is genuinely a better option for the 2 fixtures after gw3 than Mitoma? If so, I can save myself a transfer !
I think Minteh has some tougher competition but it comes down to whether he can start 4/5. I think he does - 80% sure of that and the price difference makes me think that Minteh has more value than him. Reality is Mitoma will also go 'green' as well as soon as this Arsenal game is over. It's just a lot harder to afford a team structure where you are benching 6.5s vs 5.5s hence why Minteh hasn't 'dropped'. I do think that the best thing to do is re-assess after GW3 anyways. Mitoma is by no means essential either though, so using a GK transfer or an additional one might just be too much

re Son, in GW1 Solanke started and it was a new system for Spurs and Son played really wide. In GW2, Solanke is obviously injured and Son and Spurs naturally go back to the way they've played and Son drops back into that more attacking position especially against the worst defence in the league atm.
I wouldn't quite say NEW are the worst defence in the league aha, that's quite a big call. They're also at home so that makes a significant difference as to how we can evaluate how good Son can be. I've always said I like Son more central but it's also not something we think is long-lasting IMO due to Solanke

In my draft league i have both kudus and paqueta. I think theyre both decent players for fpl… not great. Lucas is on pens, kudus had more goals and assists last season still. Im wanting to move onto rogers, semenyo and madueke. But there is a lot of risk imo in letting both of those good players go. Unless people think im exaggerating their value. Im also letting hwang go bc he just isnt nearly as lethal/viable from RW/RM. Hes barely involved in the attack from the spot
do like paqueta a lot, being on pens is really nicer a season long draft. Agree on Hwang. I'd prob bin Kudus/hwang as you mentionde for some of the others you've mentioned - maybe not madueke

What about Collins as a 4.5m defender, good fixtures and quite attacking, rotates well with Brighton defenders
a BRE defender makes sense tbf if you are already planning a transfer and have a defence sorted 4/5. Good call

I would probably not sell gordon or eze personally unless you were going to upgrade in another position. Konsa for Hall makes sense
