Dylan, I use Touch Portal in combination with an old iPad mini. Now i can make some buttons and when i touch them they realy quick make a key short cute. It works so much faster. I can advice it for using.

Hey there! It's strange it happened after working originally. This is usually a versioning issue, but it could be something different for you. This video should hopefully get you sorted! Thanks for the suggestions! But Apple really needs to work on FCP. Even FREE apps such as Capcut come with basic things that FCP doesn’t. For example, adjustment layer, Auto caption, caption customizations, modern transitions, FXs, face enhancement, and so on. I swapped FCP for Premiere Pro and the difference is huge. I even believe the footage when exported looks better than with FCP. It’s a pity since I paid for FCP.
I agree with a lot of the sentiments here! But something to consider. There are plugins that do everything you described. With FCP being a one time fee of $300 and then let’s say you spend $500 on plugins (definitely more than you need) you can accomplish all of that for around $800 that you own forever. Whereas premiere costs $660 a year for creative cloud. Let alone getting additional plugins. And you never actually own it. I think PP has the leg up in a lot of ways, especially when it comes to editing trends. But I think FCP is a far better deal in the end. Especially when it comes to speed and price. In the end, the best editor is the one that you enjoy editing in though!
Hi Dylan, are these compatible with 10.5.1? Installed the first one (handheld) and although it shows up in my list of effects I'm getting the red screen in my preview. BTW Learning so much from your videos; thanks for all that you do!

Just purchased your motion tools and downloaded it, now I still don't see it in FCPX and the folders don't have any "install" folder. All the rest of the folders that came with the downloads seem empty? Can you help me? Thank you
Hey Tim! This has been a weird issue I’ve seen a couple times. The folders looked empty at first, but after leaving them open for a few minutes the Mac seemed to find them. I have zero idea why that happens! That said, if you want to reach out to me at Dylan@thefinalcutbro.com, I can send you a new version to try and download, to see if it pops up for you. Super strange bug with MacOS!
Brand new to FCP and I have to say I’m very disappointed in what doesn’t come with this program. I bought a 10 dollar editing app for my phone that blows FCP away with what they have for free plugins. Smooth transitions, text animation etc etc. kinda sucks. You would think this program would come juiced up with at least some basic stuff. The fact that I need a plug in for a basic drop in drop out text animation is surprising to me.
Boris fix removed the mocha feature from this free version it downloads and bcc looks works fine but when you click mocha the window appears but the tool bar is missing so you can’t mask at all pretty sure they saw this video and took it off so that we all have to pay to rotoscope
Hey Ike, it is still a part of the plugin! You may be experiencing a bug. I know BorisFX has no problem with the workaround, as they later released a video on their own channel showing that exact method for removing backgrounds, and are actually super supportive of it! I recommend reaching out to their support and seeing if you can get it fixed with them. Thanks for watching! 👊

I don't understand your speak voice too much make me sleep. I want to see how FCP does with mouse move and click and drag etc. I am full deaf and low vision. My friend have deaf too. FCP should more active than speak voice.

Dylan, I use Commandpost to ad some extra keyboard shortcuts For FCP so i can use them to go to my own color Grading workspace.
