I don't understand how they are in debt. The power rangers mod sold almost a mil, at $10 bucks a pop. That's $10 million alone off one mod. Not counting how many copies ASA has sold, plus all the other premium mods. They should be swimming in cash.
Because they wasted a bunch of money on animation and voice actors for the animated series then handed it to some liberal white women who ruined the story thierfor the show didn't make any money so it was just a waste of a shit ton of funds
Their mod download counter is actually inaccurate. I have tested this out myself with private and public mods. Every time someone uninstalls and reinstalls the mod, and also updates the mod, it counts as a download. Why do they do this? Not quite sure but I believe it has to do with marketing to inflate the “popularity” of mods in order to to attract more people into buying. Regardless tho, they still did make a very profitable amount off that mod alone but not as much as you think.
Only 5 million of that goes to wildcard, your also forgetting that people who work on these games need to earn a living and so many other expenditures they have.

For those who might want to know more about why I feel so strongly the way that I do : I'll share something I had stated before :) My version had shoulder pet literally written in the ideas section, as well as rideable, and even gender differentiation capabilities with the male being shoulder / female being rideable, why? Because the Ark community helped form the ideas that built it from the ground up. The extreme amount of fluff on this one is not just some coincidence or idea on a whim, real peacock jumping spiders are not even CLOSE to being that fluffy, there is a very particular fluffy jumping spider species that I referenced that from and included it in Maevia's description, Maevia was mixed with a few species of jumpers due to how big of a variety they have. At the end of the day, what they did was entirely legal, and ideas can be shared. Do I feel like it was a rip-off? Absolutely, popularity and appearance, but I am certainly not here to argue, it's simply the way I see it. A lot of people aren't aware that the jumping spider was only a hand full of votes from winning the Aberration Voting Event, it's not some coincidence they chose this... there's thousands of different jumping spiders all over the world to choose from. But Sovi why are you so upset, you should be grateful this creature is being put into the game!!! >:(?!?!?!?!REAWDHAUWIDHAWGH Well Jimmy I'll tell you the sole part that upset me about it... Using your own community to do the ideas for you, figure out their popularity for you, so that you can take the work of these fans and throw it back into their faces with a price tag stuck to it to make a profit. Is it legal, absolutely. Is it unethical, well that's a different story in my eyes.

official pve al lot bases just seem to be decaying even when people refreshed their bases. Happend to a friend of mine, logged in played for 5 hours and woke up to his entire base decayed. 2+ months of work gone
@@TheDutchGameCrewNL we had an entire base decay on the island while we were on the center for only 2 days. ( The decay messages also appear when a dev deletes your assets. So either they are just removing people for no reason or it's a big who knows)

In all fairness, its not like Wildcard has ever credited the people who suggested/made fan dossiers/made concept art for the previous vote winners. Like yeah the Maevia's popularity is what ended up being the creation to Cosmo, there is no denying that. I do understand that its very scummy to put a highly requested creature behind a payed dlc. But if we remember, Maevia aslo became a but of a controversy withing the ARK community as it unintentionally became the poster child of creatures that were in almost every creature vote (including Hatzeg, Nothosaurus, Gorgonopsid, Bastion Beetle, Sivatherium, the Cheetah, etc) thus "stealing" the spotlight of newer creature entries that actually made sense for the map, this caused major toxicity within the ARK comunity when WC kept doing Creature Vote after Creature Vote that they took a break from doing it cuz The Center was the last straw as people were bullying the people suggesting the same creatures vote after vote, thus leaving a sour taste in everyone's mouth.
They absolutely stole that creature. No doubt, no argument. The Wild Card/ Ark fanboys are a meme now. The delusion and blind devotion are the sheeple is mind boggling.
Fr, I got into a massive agrument with multiple people who were defending Wildcard and that the creator doesn't "own Jumping spiders". That's not the problem. The problem is the design is the same, just different color palette and smaller size. As far as I'm concerned, that's not legally distinct enough to be considered its own concept. Also, Maevia is VERY well known in the community entries, so its not like its unheard of.
I agree that they should at least say something or work with the original idea creator to add the full Maevia Eureka to aberration for free. But, as for the design comment, thats what a jumping spider looks like. Again, Snail and Wildcard should have just made another completely fantasy creature as to avoid retreading content suggested by players and selling it back to us for cash. I honestly imagine Snail Games is more behind the idea of making the Cosmo, than Wildcard themselves but who knows at this point, we need better communication from Wildcard and for Snail to leave so some other company can come in as publisher.

Ima be honest where, the little spider, all it’s got that ‘incriminates’ them of stealing is the spider itself and the ability to stick to walls. This little guy in the actual dossier has a glowing silk which it uses to yoink items, slow animals movements I believe and it also can grapple around. If I recall the other spider was just sexually dimorphic where the males were shoulder pets with a full on bola ability and the females acted like that one jumping spider mod we got. The only incriminating thing we can really say it’s the spider itself but thing is, It’s not even the same name, yes it’s a spider but this has begun to make a mountain out of a mole hill over something this insignificant. The real thing people should be mad at is how wildcard have YET to actually stabilize their updates for the past few years now. In fact it’s gotten worse with ASA’s launch and they expect us to pay premium mods just to have the game break another day later and we can’t play for a few days or face the game breaking beyond repair and we lose save files? Nah screw that I’m sticking to ASE since that’s abandonware and they won’t update that anymore
there is also a little CGI video series somewhere on you tube i forget what it was called but the main character is a spider and it looks almost identical to the cosmo spider. I think the name of the series is lucas the spider.

In my opinion jumping spider is a jumping spider. They have become much more popular, to the point people are keeping them as pets. Wildcard has already shown if they like a modders work they will give them credit and pay them some how. Gauruga ks the main example. They have remained humble with him and have said he has the final say in his dinos. As well as paid him. I dont see why eild card wouldnt reach out to the one suggesting the jumping spider. But again its a jumling spider. They are becoming more main stream and catergorized as cute. So it would be more of a universal idea in my opinion. And if they did steal it well then they are shite 😂.
Also when did creature vote winners get paid? I always thought that the suggestions were there so wild card can look back and possibly bring the communities ideas to life when they see fit. And the most voted one just gets the 100% chance to get in the game. I suppose atleast recognition for the idea should definitely be mentioned. But suggestions are suggestions..it's not like they models and made the code for the idea. If my suggestion won I would be happy to just have it in the game and play with it to be honest it would be awesome!
2027 ARKII finished? The original ARC SE was never finished. All they did was bring out more new stuff that is/was buggy as all h3ll. Now they give it a new title and drop new creatures that you have to pay to use, but they still show up on the map even though you can't use them.....
What they SHOULD do is take the jumping mod one, put it in the game and have some of theirs follow the bigger one. Like a yuty n carno thing, just not aggressive. Problem solved.

@@CosmicDragonApocalypseSince when Wildcard adds these vote creatures they have to go through a lot of the design process themselves at Wildcard, meaning the vote submission is mostly just an inspiration for the final creature, I imagine the best kind of credit that could be given is at least a mention of the original creator in the dossier, maybe something like the creator having canonically helped Helena document the creature. After all Wildcard does do most of the work with the concept afterwards, sometimes to the point of entirely butchering it like the Yi Qi, so the credit for making the final product does go to them, but at least a mention of the original submitters could be a nice way to give back to the community.
I have believed since the beginning when all of the ASE/ASA bs happened Ark2 wont exist. I will very openly admit i was wrong if it does. But i have lost all optimism on it.

I got A:SE during a free week and A:SA for the double discount during the Summer Sale. I'm looking forward to never spending more than that twenty-something dollars on ARK until they've either made something *amazing* and at a great value, or have completely dropped Snail Games and are stable as a developed product for a considerable amount of time. Under no circumstance could I be induced to give them ideas to do their own work.
Phuck ark in general. They destroyed the game. Ark Evolved was the best, they had something good which they could of improved on. I think the biggest mistake brought to officials was the train tracks. They could’ve left it on single player.

people haven't been asking for years, it failed every creature vote it went in.
Honestly if you ever think about creating anything involves being part of something popular (DC, MARVEL, ARK, STAR WARS, ECT.) they own the rights to take your ideas and post it as their own so that's your fault.
Look lets look at facts. Wildcard asked for suggestions. The one who came up with the maevia offered it snd they took it. Simple as that. Its no different than the yi ling or even the carcha
But recognition is at least deserved no? The winner of the votes got that at least so why not others?
@@JadePG2agreed, we should get some recognition for the original creators, maybe at least a note in the credits, or some sort of credit in the dossier for these people would be nice.

@@CosmicDragonApocalypseSince when Wildcard adds these vote creatures they have to go through a lot of the design process themselves at Wildcard, meaning the vote submission is mostly just an inspiration for the final creature, I imagine the best kind of credit that could be given is at least a mention of the original creator in the dossier, maybe something like the creator having canonically helped Helena document the creature.
After all Wildcard does do most of the work with the concept afterwards, sometimes to the point of entirely butchering it like the Yi Qi, so the credit for making the final product does go to them, but at least a mention of the original submitters could be a nice way to give back to the community.
@snakemaster254 true but ive grown to expect not receiving credit. But at the end of the day, what does it matter? Its just a game, and i love it.
I agree with the people saying Ark 2 doesn’t exist or is the animated series part 2
I have believed since the beginning when all of the ASE/ASA bs happened Ark2 wont exist. I will very openly admit i was wrong if it does. But i have lost all optimism on it.

They made their creature an actual mod so what do you want. if wildcard did it the would have butchered it from what the original creator wanted and then more whining would be happening. Its a spider and sorry but a spider can only be so different.

In this instance teh idea and finished product are petty similar, as said all it would have taken was "hey great idea we may still add this in future" and I am just reporting how the original idea for the maeva felt, it's just unethical not illegal

Yeah throwing devs a few bucks every few months is so ass. The absolute audacity of charging for work while we praise modders who played around with the dev kit for a few hours and give them money for unfinished work is WAY better.

I got A:SE during a free week and A:SA for the double discount during the Summer Sale. I'm looking forward to never spending more than that twenty-something dollars on ARK until they've either made something *amazing* and at a great value, or have completely dropped Snail Games and are stable as a developed product for a considerable amount of time. Under no circumstance could I be induced to give them ideas to do their own work.
Phuck ark in general. They destroyed the game. Ark Evolved was the best, they had something good which they could of improved on. Its mainly streamers trying to play it and keep it going but if you watch any of them, they losing interest. If Ark 2 is supposedly coming out, we all know ase won't get support anymore. Ark died when ase was released.
