I used to autocross a lot over the years. I stopped going because I couldn't justify being there an entire day but only being on the track 120 seconds. It just stopped making sense, 3 or 4 runs at 33 seconds each is roughly 2 minutes of course time. The other 8 hours is collecting cones and waiting.
I totally agree. I always point that out. But it is much more expensive and time to go and do a track day. Which is way better. So I just go to autocross to get some fun
Nice improvement and I like the car. I just got a 08 v6, and I think with some bolt ons + a tune it would be a great car for this with the front end being a lot lighter, even if it still loses at the stoplight lol
Yes, for autocross power is not everything. We have one guy that comes out with his V6 Mustang and he does pretty good. He doesn't have as many modifications as I have but I'm sure if he did, it would probably do just as good as me.
How do you feel in the STU class? I saw some people on mustang6g saying these cars are majorly disadvantaged in that class bc of how heavy they are but it seems like you are doing pretty well in it. Also do you think that a 6r80 would work for autocross? I know manual would be better but that's not an option at the moment.
I had a discussion with a couple of the people there about classes. I have changed classes since and now run in CAM-C. Pax modifier is a little better in that class and the class has less restrictions. I don't think a 6r80 would be a problem. Generally in autocross you don't switch gears that often. Autos I think would make autocross a little easier. Tracks you have time to shift where autocross there is a lot more going on.
Yeah, it would be nicer for a larger area. We used to do it at a local airport. But that was before I moved here. Because of our small pad we can only run one at a time so we are only out there for about 5 hours. Not as long in the sun. Any run is better than no runs.

Great video!
Thank You!!!
Too bad you guys courses are so tight and short. 30 sec run to wait 8 hours in the sun.... enjoy your ride no matter!
