£341 for the bike and £200+ for the drone? I was one of those new subscribers. £80 for as new air canister is a bit steep, couldn't they just recharge it?
Thanks 🙏 I am looking forward to putting more effort on the channel in 2024 as 2023 was a busy year for other work but am putting aside some time for the channel in the new year. Have a great New Year and see you soon 🥳🍻👍
Thanks Nick. It beggars belief how some people can give such negative responses. On a more positive note I wish to thank you for all the interesting and informative videos. i wish you and all your positive subscribers a safe and healthy 2024.. Stay safe. Best Regards, Tim
Great to see you back up and running, Can I ask for a short review on your keis vest and how it is performing as I’m considering buying one . Great to see you back.
I have to admit I've never heard of an airbag vest. Very cool idea, I learned something here. May just have to check into that. Thanks. Glad everything panned out for you btw.
Yes they are great and protect your torso and neck, shoulder areas in case the unfortunate happens. I don’t ride without one now. Had it about 2 years now. I made a video a while back on how it works here ua-cam.com/video/_3Ppj9hUwB8/v-deo.htmlsi=CPTBn44_llHA-lTG Cheers and have a good new year 🥳🍻
Hi, personally I wouldn't have responded to those who thought it was staged. Responding gives them credibility. You know about the situation, that is all that matters. I certainly wouldn't have bothered breaking down the remind viewing stats or £’s it generated. We don't own shares in yourself so you don't need to justify anything to your viewers. They will come and stay or go.
Nick all things considered I think you got away quite lightly, when the weight of the bike is taken in the damage was quite minimal and no injuries to your good self thankfully. Good to see you're up and at it again. Looking forward to following your adventures in 2024. As others have said shame on those who would accuse you of staging such an event, there are some very sad and deranged individuals out there.
Good to see you back Nick, I think the air bag prevented further injury and is worth it in the long run. Glad to see the bike is back in business despite the additional costs, obviously not covered by the you tube video. Then again, you did gain some additional subscribers which can't be bad. Looking forward to the next one and in the mean time, take it easy and stay safe.
Thanks for the video! New subscriber. I also wear the Klim airbag Rally vest and its good to know that it worked and help you come out of that fall unscathed. I couldn't make out your jacket. Did it also help you in the crash? Do you still use the Merlin Adele you tested a while back?
Hi 👋 and thanks for the sub 👍 yes I still use the Merlin Edale but only on the Bonneville now. On the Tiger I use a Alpinstars Ketchum Forrest Jacket and it doesn’t have a mark on it after the crash. I guess I just slid so the ice stopped it getting any road rash 👍
Hi 👋 I only have this video 2 years ago when I was looking to buy one and researching what is available different brands. For the type you were under jackets it’s best to size 1 up on jackets to give room to inflate. ua-cam.com/video/_3Ppj9hUwB8/v-deo.htmlsi=ezmo9zpuBp_abeUZ
It looks like i have to think about getting one of those airbag jackets? Two winters ago i fell off my tiger 800, was doing maybe 5 mph, still on first gear and it cost me 5 broken ribs...
Glad you got it fixed, and ride safe! Lots of hate on the Internet, mainly because they feel that they are anonymous. Bet they wouldn't have the balls to make those comments to you face to face.
Thanks, you too. Just wanted to ask again about the quickshifter issue that you had. Did it get resolved? I am interested in buying one of these Triumphs, which is my only reason for asking. Many thanks! 😊
@@adderhoney thanks 🙏 yes it was replaced under warranty last weekend and all is fine again now. Don’t let it put you off the new Tiger 1200 and the now new 900’s are imo some of the best adventure bikes
Good to see the bike wasn't too expensive to repair. Think I said on the original crash video that I didn't think the ad revenue was going to cover it. The beauty of UA-cam vids is they can keep earning, so if the views suddenly take off, you never know...... Good luck with the channel in 2024
Happy New Year Nick and looking forward to the trips and reviews of 2024. Glad you are ok, and feel you shouldn’t need to show all you did, but certainly gives an insight into what YT pays out for videos. Ride safe.
Glad you got the bike sorted and at least , like the vest, the revenue softened the impact of the slip. Hi Nick thanks for another great informative video. I pick up my GT Explorer next week very excited. Being a similar height to you at 6ft 2” can you tell me which model screen you are running I think you said it was a puig on an earlier video. Just wondered if the air cleared your helmet with a peak on it. I do t suppose you have a link to the screen. All the best for the new year. Regards Andrew
Hi 👋 yes the screen is a puig one pyramidmoto.co.uk/products/puig-touring-screen-clear-triumph-tiger-1200-gt-pro-2022?currency=GBP&variant=40087717871734&Google%20Shopping&stkn=670c3c7e68e2&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAs6-sBhBmEiwA1Nl8s7On8UKTfpyWWOmxHHi6BkpcIE33Z4cRl59epatmmNNHspidf7LloBoC--AQAvD_BwE

Good man! Thanks for the continued videos and keep up the integrity and honest production, it is greatly appreciated. For the Tiger, also a good job. I've dropped my Tiger 12 a few times, off road and on, and the scars are small and unnoticeable in general. I did swap out my mirrors for a pair of ball jointed units that fold up on collision, but my tiger doesn't have the blindspot radar so no electrics wired in to worry about. Solid bike and solid video!! Keep up the great work Nick and here's to a happy and prosperous new year 👍👍
You can buy outright at a couple hundred more but you don’t get the updates. What I mean by that is every deployment of their airbags data goes back to them for updates on algorithm. I’m happy to pay £12 a month
The world's gone subscription mad, I thought subscriptions to unlock certain electronic features in vehicles was bad enough, but a subscription on clothing?! Not for me I'm afraid.

O.o prescription for vest updates...not exactly correct, you took a leasing deal on the vest. You can buy the vest straight from the getgo for twice the amount you mentioned or you can get a leasing with 3 years of monthly payments and a buy option in the end.
Yes correct you can buy from the get go however you will receive no updates and if something goes wrong with the brain then you have to pay a lot for a new one. The subscription not a leasing deal is what I say it is a £12 a month you can cancel any time not a 3 year lease, and no buy option end of 3 years Read hear shop.inemotion.com/en/airbag-moto/pricing/?univers=moto&country=gb
Great information for aspiring Moto Tubers. Just recently monetized, not released anything new since monetisation, earned a wopping £1.47 so far lol. Just as well we dont do it for the money at my stage 😂
I wouldnt call it a "stupid mistake" - you could have rolled through ok - walking might have been worse as the bike could have landed on you and turning back on a steep hill would have been difficult - its just one of those things that happens when you actually use your bike 🙂Thanks for the info on the klim airbag - its arriving next week ;-)
Morning, not wishing to be controversial and not diminishing my sympathy for your incident (I wouldn't describe it as an accident as I interpret the definition) and how pleased I am that you were neither injured nor caused material damage to the bike...I did contemplate this comment on the video itself and so will post it here now instead. I've long wondered about the capability of the brain to multi-task. Police Class 1 drivers are trained to be able to provide a driving commentary simultaneously with controlling the vehicle. There's hours or training that go into it I understand. Personally, I think that riding a motorcycle deserves 100% concentration and I wouldn't use a telephone or record a voice over to a video whilst riding. You have many years experience and many incident free, so I have wondered whether or not, if you'd been concentrating on the ride and not the video you would have assessed the risk differently and taken a different course. Riding at around 20mph onto that road surface might not have been something you'd have done if 100% focused and concentrating. Each to their own. Free world, but when I ride, I prefer to concentrate on the ride. I'm glad you're OK, I'm glad the bike has been repaired and I'm glad you made some of the money back. Ride safe in 2024. Stuart
Afternoon Nick. Thanks for the honesty, it may not have paid for the repairs, but a nice little earner nonetheless 😂 Someone did say it would go viral, for the wrong reasons 🙄. All the best.
Really strange it snapped the indicator off my mate has model before yours and dropped it turning round and that snapped the indicator off to but they look to far back to get damaged. At least you weren't injured bikes repair. Ps be interesting if you could get your hands on new tiger 900 gt looks like it has some good updates but all the journalists so far are testing gt pro instead of gt which is a bit expensive at 14 grand. As gt is just 12 grand.
Hi Terry, yes was surprised it snapped off but one screw to replace it so was an easy fix. On the Tiger 900 GT I have so many triumph bikes I want to get hold of and only had the Rocket in 2023 as in 2022 I have 16 press bikes. I guess Triumph have many on their books now to loan out to so may have to head to the dealer to test one. But it’s on my list for the new Tiger 900’s this year for sure. Have a fab new year 🥳👍
I haven't seen the original footage, hope you're all good, while 300 quid seems a lot for a drop/crash, it seems mostly cosmetic, and when you have a nice bike you like to keep it pristine I guess.... and the cash from you tube wasn't too shabby, although I'm sure you would have preferred to stay upright 😂. You tube gets a bit negative but always nice to see good content creators getting support from subscribers.. nor sure if I have subscribed... but will check now and go and watch your crash, always better to learn from somebody else's mistakes... although I rarely do lol. Nice review of the vest also 👌
There are some lovely people out there. And then there are some "lovely" people with their hot takes 😮 That's not bad earning for one month. Hopefully it will cover some more of the costs as the views add up
Great to see you back Nick I can’t believe people thought youde staged that 😡 are they all there !! I’m glad at least you got some pennies from UA-cam at least even when you think about it it’s not even especially for me normal days work money so people probably think you make a fortune out of it 😮 Happy new year and keep up the great content All the best phil
@@MOTOUK1 I most likely won’t Nick, I did subscribe for several years and then unsubscribed over what was a really petty reason but was in protest at the time.
Glad u r ok would it not be good if airbag manufacturers make airbags for pelvis hips lower & upper limbs. Honda were correct with airbags in the gold wing I saw a lot of pelvic fractures during my orthopaedic career from bike petrol tanks that could have been prevented
Great insight. I’ve just reached the threshold of being able to earn from my videos. Set that up this weekend. Glad you are ok and that the bike is ok! Happy new year!
Don't be too embarrassed by your 'stupid mistake'. In my younger days I used to make the same stupid mistake about three times every winter, on average. And ice is nice and smooth to slide along on your arse, until you hit something. UA-cam, Go Pros, ABS? The bikes didn't even have indicators. The nearest I got to wearing an airbag was copies of the Daily Mirror stuffed down the front of my donkey jacket. Have a happy and safe 2024.
Great to see you and the big triumph back on form nick. as for people saying you staged it then clearly they haven't ridden a motorcycle over ice as you DO NOT stage that when you come into contact with ice. Great content in the video nick and wishing you and the family a prosperous 2024 😊
Can't believe anyone would think it deliberate! Could easily have been much more expensive if bike, helmet, etc had landed a little differently, plus you might easily have broken or dislocated something yourself on another day. While I think you could have approached a little slower, thus avoiding the later braking that unsettled the bike... but who knows, you might still have gone down. Glad you and your wallet came out of this reasonably unscathed!
300 quid for a bit of plastic panel & footrest & indicator that was probably sourced cheap by Triumph from China ,is well over priced. I would of touched up any scraped paint & bought a pair of pattern indicators & a footrest for about 50 quid tops . As for airbags I don’t even like the restrictive armour in modern motorcycle clothing , & realise that if you come off a bike it’s going to hurt & a risk all motorcyclists must be prepared to take , if not they should stick to granny cages , that are fitted with airbag contraptions . I am glad you weren’t hurt too bad , but ice & tall top heavy Triumph two wheeled tractors don’t mix & a sure recipe for disaster. Still at least your not one of those fair weather bikers , believe it or not ,there are some so called bikers out there ,who think there is such a thing as a motorcycling season ,& believe they will dissolve in rain & frightened of getting a scratch or dirt on their bikes . 👍
With all the restrictions that UA-cam place on monetorised accounts, the miserly amount that YT pay is hardly worth it unless you happen to be a super vlogger? Better to remain free? As for the guy who said you threw yer bike down the road for views - rhymes with “tanker”!!
Thanks Rob 🤣👍 I enjoy making videos and the payments while not super good, I have found only growth can change this and tbh I’m pretty happy with my YT revenue as it pays for bike gear. 🤣 have a fab New Year 🥳🍾🥂

Thanks 🙏 I’ve rolled over many patches over the years. Have a great New Year 🥳🍻
Lost drone too 😢
Yep unfortunately 🥳🍻👍
Stuart
Thanks for you comment Stuart, wishing you a fab 2024 🥳🍻
great video! Instagram has the worst comment section, no matter what you upload haha.
Safe riding!
Cheers Nic agree 🤣 you too and have a good new year 🥳🍻
Some people are very sad nick glad all ok and the bike is sorted keep up the great vids hope to see you again if your going to the abr festival 2024 👍
Thanks Bud 👍 may not be at the ABR this year as something else on at that time. Never say never though 🤣 have a great New Year 🥳🍻
On ice you are just a passenger It's all down to luck if you fall off or make it through, you can't fake luck.
👍
Afternoon Nick. Thanks for the honesty, it may not have paid for the repairs, but a nice little earner nonetheless 😂 Someone did say it would go viral, for the wrong reasons 🙄. All the best.
Cheers Ian, wishing you all the best 👍🍻
Nice review of the vest also 👌
Thanks Steve 👍
There are some lovely people out there. And then there are some "lovely" people with their hot takes 😮
That's not bad earning for one month. Hopefully it will cover some more of the costs as the views add up
🤣 we all get them. Yes for 1 video I thought was good and with this latest video following the accident it nearly covers the costs
Wishing you a super New Year 🥳🍾🥂
Great to see you back Nick
I can’t believe people thought youde staged that 😡 are they all there !!
I’m glad at least you got some pennies from UA-cam at least even when you think about it it’s not even especially for me normal days work money so people probably think you make a fortune out of it 😮
Happy new year and keep up the great content
All the best phil
Cheers Phil 🙏 so looking forward to trips in 2024. Have a great new year 🥳🍻
All in all not too bad cost wise and a learning curve. Have a great 2024
Thanks 🙏 have a good one 🍻
@@MOTOUK1 I'm hoping to ride to Colditz
Good to see you got sorted out Nick, I did unsubscribe a while ago but often catch some of your videos.
Thanks bud 🙏👍 time to subscribe again 🤔 have a good new year 🥳🍻
@@MOTOUK1 I most likely won’t Nick, I did subscribe for several years and then unsubscribed over what was a really petty reason but was in protest at the time.
@@SouthWest-jj8yu oh ok 👌
Glad u r ok would it not be good if airbag manufacturers make airbags for pelvis hips lower & upper limbs. Honda were correct with airbags in the gold wing I saw a lot of pelvic fractures during my orthopaedic career from bike petrol tanks that could have been prevented
Yes agree 👍 I have seen someone doing now I think in the trouser region, I’m sure more will catch on soon
Great insight. I’ve just reached the threshold of being able to earn from my videos. Set that up this weekend. Glad you are ok and that the bike is ok!
Happy new year!
Cheers and good luck with the channel 🙏👍🍻
Pleased your'e OK Nick, best wishes for 2024.....
Cheers same to you 🥂🍾🍻
No one voluntarily throws their bike down the road.
👍🤣🍻
Tires …
Pirelli scorpion trail 2’s I believe there is a 3 out now. Will be changing to those in March prior to my Spain tour
Cheers and happy New year 🥳
Bad luck on the crash. Are you tempted to fit upper crash bars now?
Thanks 🙏 mmm maybe yes 👍 have a good new year 🥳🍻 cheers
How much did your drone cost that day?
It would be cheaper to stay at home & nowt, like me 😁
🤣🤣 ooh forgot about that Mark 🤣 onwards to good days 👍 have a good new year 🥳🥂🍾
Ride safe
Cheers and you, wishing you a fab 2024 🥳🍻
The tiger 1200 is a heavy bike was you all right ie legs and arm ok
Yes all ok thanks 🙏 no issues on arms or legs as bike didn’t land on me
Great to see you and the big triumph back on form nick. as for people saying you staged it then clearly they haven't ridden a motorcycle over ice as you DO NOT stage that when you come into contact with ice. Great content in the video nick and wishing you and the family a prosperous 2024 😊
Thanks Martin 🙏 wishing you and family a very happy New Year 🥳 🍻
looked bad ,- but you came out a bit better than i thought ,, gladly ;;
Cheers Simon, 👍 all the best 🍻
The trouble is when you become one with the bike its easy to mis judge Mother Nature and she can bite back
Don't worry your head about the muppets out there....welcome back keep up the good videos happy 2024..
Cheers have a happy New Year 🥳🍻
Can't believe anyone would think it deliberate!
Thanks 🙏 we learn from mistakes 😊
If that's the first accident in 30 years. Congrats.
Cheers 🍻 yes 🙌 bit of luck
@@MOTOUK1
Don't be humble. That's no luck but sensible decisions every time you're on the road for 30 years. Consistent excellent road use
@@expatbiker6598 too kind thank you 🙏
2:19 did your air bag vest inflate?
So youtube pays you more than three times the rate they pay me (on my other channel!)
No way was it staged ! Glad all ok now, as for the record views it’s just goes to show what ghouls we all are ! Roll on spring now eh 👍🏻
Cheers Adrian, nice to be out today, wishing you a good new year
With all the restrictions that UA-cam place on monetorised accounts, the miserly amount that YT pay is hardly worth it unless you happen to be a super vlogger? Better to remain free? As for the guy who said you threw yer bike down the road for views - rhymes with “tanker”!!
Thanks Rob 🤣👍 I enjoy making videos and the payments while not super good, I have found only growth can change this and tbh I’m pretty happy with my YT revenue as it pays for bike gear. 🤣 have a fab New Year 🥳🍾🥂
@@MOTOUK1 You have a great New Year - not sure if you have seen any of my stuff but although I have a T100, I have two smaller bikes and they work well on UA-cam particularly as I am a fat man LOL! Thinking about a trip to the Alps on my XSR125!
@@RobLittleuk I have bought your Channel yes 👍 sounds like a great trip and looking forward to 2024 trips 🥳🍾🥂
HNY!
