Awesome bike awesome color it's great 2 c u ride bud love what u do 4 BMX and the community. BMX 4 LIFE !!!! And every 1 go support powers BMX shop !!!
I started working at a Yamaha shop 1972 at 13 and then a Honda shop and raced motocross turned expert but BMX wasn't big yet and the motocross greats were my hero's. I saw Chads shop museum and wasn't sure if it was hording or a, museum or a bike shop. Thats a big building with lots of overhead. I like Chads wagon and track, and he must be still single. I like the Mercedes diesel wagons more. Please put a one paragraph bio of who you are and what your plan is would be helpful for people just tuning in that maybe want to contribute. but overall, very impressed.
Sick bike! Standards kick ass. I Just built up a 125R hydro disc, carbon rims, chromo race fork and it came in at 20.00lbs on the button. That frame and fork is probably where most of the extra 2lbs. Also tires. Probably a half pound difference over a set of 1.95 powerblocks.
I don’t know what’s more sick !! The Trailboss or the wagon on airbags !!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥Support Powers !! The shop That definitely supports us !
That is sick! Those carbon hoops don't save much weight over the lightest Alienation aluminum rims, your bike in the 22 pound area is pretty good, to get to under 20, you'll have to run parts so light weight, the strength will be gone. My BTM is at 22.9 running all the titanium parts Profile makes for the Elite hubs, and race cranks. The Standard 125r I had had full Profile everything and Tioga race tires, , and it was just over 22. Still fealt light as shit to me, when most bikes are 25+ pounds. My weight weenie friend, and favorite rider for 40 years, gets carried away, he has a 14.5 pound Supercroas, all the carbon fiber and titanium, tiny tires, it's a pro XXL but now way could a Pro rider trust it. To get to that level things get sketchy and only a smooth rider on smoother track could get away with that, even then I have my doubts. He also has several chromoly bikes built, always in the 19 to 20 pound range. He doesn't ride hard so they last. 22÷23 pounds is a light bike for a full size person that actually rides is my point I guess.. love the color and your wagon is bitchin.
@@PowersBMX and I totally dig that! Honestly at this point my bikes are better than my riding, as opposed to in my 20s, when my riding was better than my bikes...
@@mikehagen3785this is the best (only?!) good thing about getting older! You can have the bikes you always dreamed of! Just can’t ride them as much or as hard 😂
Its that disc and rotor haha. Sadly. Nice to run, but there is a weight penalty. Toss an avid bb7 and a dirtharry lever on. Ran that combo for yrs. And especially if you can find the old old avids. Been making them for 20 yrs and the older they get, the better they are. The og dual knobs. Not bb5 bullshit.
Good to see someone riding a Standard these days Don’t see many of them around like you did in the 90s
Come to the east coast! Or Richmond!
We sell a ton of them!

yah i know the carbon isn’t much lighter over the mischiefs but mischiefs don’t give you bragging rights like carbon rims hahah

Chad, are those the presta vavlve tubes on your site?
yup!!

Dumb question: do they work with reg BMX rims since they're presta? Do you need an adapter?
They will yah!
