Thank you for bringing this film out of mothballs perhaps?! Anyway, I so love this film!! And thank you to the people, brothers and sisters, who made this film! If you’re all still here around on this side of the veil! This movie is so beautiful and wonderfully done!!! It really made me cry a lot! You see, I wasn’t raised in the church… I didn’t join the church until I was 45, back in 1993 in Alaska! Anyway, if I had only joined the church back when I was young, or my family had been members, I would’ve made a lot better choices, and been a much better person!!!!! Well, at least the missionaries found me way up north! And I I am so indebted to them for deciding to serve missions and come and find me! I so love the missionaries! And then my two sons became missionaries and served honorable missions, 1 in Japan and one in California! After I had met my current husband up there at an older singles’ camp, after joining the church. ♥️👋🤗

It's hard to believe this was made only about 20 years before I was born. Might as well be 100 compared to growing up in the 80s.

Back in those days the social activities were a lot of fun. In the 60s, 70s, and 80s there were weekly live bands playing at dances. These were held for youth, YSA or SA age members each week. I think it helped younger church members stay active. It also attracted potential converts who did not drink or do drugs.

Lottie Lund McKay was the laurel leader. Yes, no? She would've been in her 41st year in 1961.
