Funny story: the first Christmas after my parents got divorced, they asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told them both I wanted a My Size Barbie. Imagine my absolute joy when they BOTH got me one!! They were super mad at each other but I felt baller having the pink AND blue My Size Barbies. 😂

I'm an animator, not a doll maker, but I've seen many videos and appreciate the art form. When I got towards the end of this video, all I could think of is "whoa, this is a HELL of an achievement, if it were me this would be my magnum opus." This is one of the most impressive doll videos I've ever seen! And all your hard work was absolutely worth it! You should be extremely proud of this and show it off whenever you can!

@@Snow-xd4rv I’m mostly getting it from the pigtails, choker, two-piece, and overall edgy vibe. She’s specifically reminds me of the suicide squad Harley Quinn, which, as mentioned, was played by Margot Robbie, who plays Barbie in the new movie. But I get it that it can be hard to see for others

I thought you were gonna do what Hextian did with his lifesize Barbie and use a mannequin as a base. When you said you were gonna scale up Nova, my jaw hit the floor so hard, I'm pretty sure my tile cracked! She's absolutely perfect and I feel like she could come to life any second and start singing "Barbie Girl".

Barbie is not really my thing, but the process of making a lifesize jointed doll like that was really amazing to watch. Although it's propably a hell of a process to make I hope there will be more lifesize dolls like this in the future.
i'd love this too! or at the very least, something a couple feet tall. the benefit of this doll's size though is that she can 100% get away with using some of the accessories in her own outfits, which is really cool!

Okay, I joked about it being a "My Size Barbie" from the pics I've seen on Twitter, but the fact that you actually made a My Size Barbie that's fully posable too is crazy! But as always, the detail is amazing and you did such an excellent job!

@@loleeeetaa not to toot my own horn, but my artistry is complimenting 😂 but it's really true that many many unseen artists are always happy to share enthusiasm and grace, known and seen too many artists that scoff or hold little regard for other artists. Not everything is my cup, but I can see a master of craft when I see one.
The tear downs, or sides, or pickiness... is just to make art sell better and I see that, can't stop it, because that makes money and can't stop an artist, no matter how low personally they are, from making a living.

When doll clothes became cosplay and dolls become glorified mannequins. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH the photoshoot actually made it seem like a normal sized barbie but with you in the photo it puts everything to scale.

I just have to say, I have no interest in dolls, but I do have major respect for someone who is passionate and dedicated to their craftsmanship, no matter what that may be. And this massive project is probably the best example of dedication to a craft I have seen in a long time.

Honestly just more in general from repainters, everyone seems to only repaint Monster high, EAH or bjds, I want to see more people repaint barbie! Hextian is the only one I can think of who uses Barbie’s to repaint but its usually just their bodies 😭

Barbie heads are tiny! They're substantially harder to paint than mh/eah
From my experience, barbie is also not that fun to work with because the face is sooooooo small

I love this Animé version of Barbie! She still looks like a "normal" Barbie in a way, but her styling and accessories are more like the Animé style. I'm obsessed and applaud you for making her life-sized. That really took dedication!

Oh my gosh, this is so incredible. The effort put into it. Painting tiny dolls is so hard, one of this size brings a complete new set of challenges. Also I think this one had the biggest creepy factor when she wasn’t strung and painted yet. Imagine walking into a room and seeing life size doll parts laying around. Oooff. Honestly a piece of art, 12/10 would visit a museum to look at it.

She turned out amazingly! She's definitely giving Rave Girl vibes, which is beyond cool! The fact that you can wear the chained belt as well is pretty awesome; I also had the thought that her choker could be used as a cuff style bracelet for you! It would be interesting to see someone else try to make another life size Barbie, but using a realistic art style, and then see the comparison between the two. It would be a really interesting contrast!
