Lmao I love that Moonlight Jewel got to experience the time sinkhole that is styling Afro-textured hair from scratch. The agony reminded me of the first time I got box braids (I was in high school and my hair was loooooong)

Box braids typically take double the amount of time you spent on the wig cap but the end result is always so freaking stunning!!! Doll size and human size as well

She really looks like a grown up and mature Clawdeen. She definitely gives the feeling of being fierce but also fashionable. I can't wait to see how you redesign the other ghouls.

Funny thing about braiding, doing it irl is a 6 to 8 hour process meaning you have to sit in the salon chair for half a day😭 . Your box braiding technique is ingenious I'm going to try that.
She is so high fashion and her makeup hair, everyhting... ETHEREAL. literally so blown away by this doll. 100% would be obsessed to see how you would tackle a draculaura redesign
I really dislike clawdeen’s G3 doll because it feels like they took away her personality. So I’m really happy that you gave one of my favorite black characters the fierceness she deserves.
Have you ever thought that maybe g3 is starting the characters at a younger age than g1 and Clawdeen is gonna grow into that personality?
Agreed. Out of all the dolls they changed clawdeen and lagoona the most, its no surprise they are the dolls selling the least in my country.

Because poc dolls generally don't sell well in certain countries for certain reasons like racism and the beauty standard being eurocentric as some examples..and the irony is not lost that you specially pointed out the two confirmed by Mattel canon POC characters despite there being vast and more notable changes made to many other characters.. like Frankie and Ghoulia to name a few..

@@saphirothplaysbad4708 lagoona g1 is not poc. Cleo is but PoC , she did not shelfwarm as much as Clawdeen and Lagoona. Not everything is about racism. I am also PoC.
Just happens people don't like Clawdeen's other dolls, especially the ones where she has green/neon green. Doesn't work, period.

I'm starting to think Blue Pixie isn't just a username, but that she's an actual pixie using fairy magic to create so many amazing doll models for Moonlight Jewel in such a timespan!
She is so amazing!!! The only thing I would add is some color to the backs of her ears that matches her hair - maybe with pastels? With your version's awesome larger and more detailed ears they end up coming across as a little "fleshy", lol. Incredible work as always! You are my favorite doll artist!!!
I agree because the ears looks fluffy and I know that in the original the ears are the same colour of Clawdeens body but I presume that’s because they are not like traditional fluffy ears. And with normal werewolves the ear colour/ fur is the same colour as their hair/fur.
My favourite from Monster High was always Abby BUT I'm hella curious how you would remake Cléo, I think implementing her egyptian goddess roots in your style could be so fascinating to see! Love your work as always ❤
The eyes already looked so cute after you showed them made, but when you showed them inserted in the face my jaw DROPPED. So cute and sparkly! The big sparkly irises are so anime but also make me think of soulful wolf eyes. Could not have been more perfect! ✨💖

I think this is legit my favorite of the dolls you’ve done. The face is so cute, the fashion is crazy, all of it.
I feel like this fit might work really well with Roxanne Wolf. The mix of neon-like colors, the wolf motif, most of the little details, just would probably be perfect.
I love her dolls they pulled me out of a really hard time and helped me think of other ways to cope other than sh like drawing oc’s and thinking about how they would look as a doll. Thank you so much I love you

I love custom dolls bc the people making them have a genuine passion for their art. You can see the life doll creators add to them
She is absolutely GORGEOUS! I love everything about her, when you showed your design for the outfit I gasped, all of the doll clothes you design and make are great but this is really one of your best works yet. Her face is so cute too, her eyes are really pretty and I LOVE HER HAIR! I can’t praise this doll enough, the fact that you managed to colour match her skin tone so well too. Can’t wait to see the next ghoul you try, after Clawdeen, Draculaura is my next favourite, would love to see your take on her if she’s on your list to redesign.

Oh, and just out of curiosity. Would you and Blue ever be up for selling the files of your dolls so people with 3-D printers can try to use them? I know you have sold your dolls like Lylla, Nova, Bean, and Meeko and have plans to add more in the future. (Which one day I will be able to afford one! One day I swear!) But those tend to sell out very quickly and most of have little chance of getting those. So would you ever be willing to sell the flies at some point? Like for your Sanrio Dolls or now this like of monster high dolls?
Seconding this idea! I'd totally buy all of them if you ever put 3d files for sale!
I think that Elisa has said before that she would not due to the dangers of a recast being a thing. A recast being someone reselling the printed dolls without permission for a lower price.
My brother wants to get a 3D printer and asked me if I'd ever be willing to buy one together as they're so expensive.
If the 3D files were ever sold I'd be buying the printer without a second damn thought
@@maeliame that makes no sense as you take that risk by selling the doll in general for this the risk would be getting a A cease and desist letter from Mattlel because she's basically making a bootleg monster high doll
@@maeliame While I get what you mean the unfortunate reality is that it could happen no matter what. Though I what I was hoping for was more along the lines of her secondary characters. Kinda of like Dollightful's bunny Bjd that almost the whole community has printed and done a project with. I wouldn't ask them to offer files of their main dolls like Nova or the others she has/will create to sell. I hope that makes any sense.
I’m curious. What do you do with the misprints? Have you ever used the parts that aren’t too bad? Like do a doll with the some parts that aren’t horrifically misprinted?
Maybe there could be like, some kind of horror doll made out of failed prints. Like a really messed up frankenstein-esque chimera creation.
A doll that represents those with disabilities could be awesome.
Oh wow! If the Mattel Creations team could only see how you totally rocked this design, they’d see they need to step up their Haunte Couture line like a lot! This Clawdeen is really the prettiest I’ve ever seen! I could stare at this piece of art for hours really! My vote is Draculaura for the next repaint. :D
I’ve been sewing 1/12 1/3 and full scale clothes for years, but it amazes me every time how you work with some of the most bizarre and difficult fabrics I’ve ever seen!
I *love* this outfit so so much! It suits her so well 💜💚 I think the only thing I would change is to make her facial expressions a bit sassier (ex. More eyebrow action, slightly closed lids etc.). I would love to see Draculaura, Spectra or Abby next

i remember when 3d printing was a science fiction concept. then it became a fancy thing that some large doll youtubers could do, now most of your dolls are custom modeled and 3d printed. its so incredible where technology can go! i love how much effort you guys put into these beautiful little pieces of art

I also quite like the diverse body types and heights in g3, I just wish Cleo and Frankie's heights were switched. I guess in my mind Cleo was tall and intimidating, but I suppose that's the g1 lover in me projecting. Either way I can't wait to see your interpretation of the other ghouls.

Your Clawdeen is gorgeous! I love the box braids, the fur jacket, and her boots!! But I think what drew my attention the most had been her eyes and makeup. Definitely, a Clawdeen staple for purple, neon green, and gold to be somewhere in her color palette at all times.
I love how the glitter on the face looks like shimmery freckles!

If I may suggest, if you're doing Frankie Stein at some point, you could give them a smaller chest to help with some androgynous aesthetic? Most MH girls are pretty super femme so Frankie could be a little change of pace, if that's what you could use sometime!
I think they're basing them on G1 not G3 and in G1 Frankie is feminine and punk rock and goes by she.. but it would be cool to see G1 and G3 in her style

Soooo pretty! One change that I love is the fact that they made Frankie nonbinary! They are my favourite monster high character and I love the representation. Also it suits them so well.
Seeing you struggle with the braids makes me feel for anybody who braids full heads on humans, and the fact that some people can do it in like a day is amazing
My favorite thing about any sort of craft hobby is that the longer you do it, the more crafts are made from things you already had.
Despite all the printer issues and time consuming wig making, she turned out absolutely beautiful. I love the pops of color in her hair. She actually reminds me of how g1 looked. You have dedication and it shows in your work.

I almost want to cry. THIS is what dolls are supposed to be like. Made with so much skill, and love. You went above and beyond making her, this is something I can imagine buying for my child as special occasions such as holidays, or the child's birthday, or hey, just a wonderful gift for fun as luxury for my kid. This is also the type of dolls you expect to see as collector items. Ones that will cost a lot in the future. I can't believe how beautiful this turned out and cannot wait to see the other girls. You really went above and beyond with this doll, and I'm so excited to see more. Monster high downgraded their dolls to an extent, from the fashion, to how the dolls are made and it's quite disheartening to see. So to witness how well this turned out even though it's not a part of the line is crazy. what's more is that you actually stayed true to the character's personality and design while still making it your own, this is exactly what clawdeen would wear, and even her body type being tall and fit goes with her so well. Really was in love with the video and can't wait to see the rest of what you make!!!
