North Country Trail | 2023 Hike 14 | Mackinac Bridge Walk + a visit to Headlands Dark Sky Park

Labor Day 2023 - My first time ever walking the Mackinac Bridge, and it was a fun experience. We decided to be Double Crossers and walk the length of the bridge and back. About 10 miles. The bridge is also officially part of the North Country Trail, so I was able to check those five miles off as complete! That night, after resting at the campground we were staying at, we took a drive over to Headlands International Dark Sky Park, which was so cool. The skies were clear and perfect for some stargazing.

What an amazing summer of hikes you had. Have you ever done the bridge walk before? You documented so good!! Towards the end of one of my bridge walks I began to get motion sickness because of the sway and not being able to perceive I was walking straight. Well done!!

This was my first time walking the bridge. It was a fun experience for sure. The sway was crazy. haha!
