Been watching snooker since I was about 7 or 8 (2000/01). Supported Ronnie from the start of getting into it, and it’s such a fortunate privilege to have watched the mass of meteoric success he’s gone on to achieve. And in such an entertaining way. Thank you!

This man inspired numerous young players to start playing snooker professionally, 30 years have past and he is still competing with all these young players and winning ranking titles. It's absolutely insane when you think about it.

That advertising made the presentation at the end look beyond tacky. Their branding really garishly all over the place, Ronnie had to wear a medal with the brand logo totally covering it and even the trophy had a massive advert on it! The triple crown snooker tournaments, and other, used to have some class.
I’ve never played Snooker, but I have been following snooker since 2012. I’ve taught myself all the rules and picked the pieces together after many many UA-cam videos. I know Snooker the way Americans know football NFL. Ronnie is the Michael Jordan of Basketball. The Tom Brady of NFL. Dudes straight legend and we’re witnessing a legends journey real time. Definitely blessed.

Great play - again - by ROS!! Don't think being 48 and still playing about as well as ever is so surprising: of the current top 16 players 9 are 40 or over and not showing any signs of deterioration. Being reasonably fit and of course maintaining good eyesight are important.

It was delight to watch Ronnie winning from difficult positions. How come he won only 40 ranking titles in his 30 years of career. Considering his greatness winning 2 to 3 ranking titles a year was easily possible. His ranking titles should have been in the range of 70 to 80.Though he is all time great.
That is because he plays in the hardest era of snooker and he entered the tour with 2 other prodigies that would easily be the GOATs if they were alone in the tour. John Higgins and Mark Williams and then the Murphy, Selby, Robertson trio, then Judd and Ding, now numerous Chinese prodigies, it is too hard to beat everyone for 30 years but Ronnie is still the benchmark

What he does, what he has done, and continues to do for snooker, I am not quite sure why this man has not been knighted.
It was a great match to watch. It was close at one point, but he stepped up during those final frames.
Ding had few misses and not so good safety...against Rocket thats a death sentence unless he's also not doing well...obviously that didn't happened..

@@antoinecringemann Also now there are about 18 ranking tournaments a season and not that long ago there were only about 5 or 6 a season.
Some players are better at winning the smaller tournaments (and get huge credit for it!), Ronnie is the king of the triple crown. 🚀
