Oh, don't give up on your fountain! You can use some waterproof caulk or something to fix it. Try! Something that beautiful deserves some tenacity.

Don't give up on the fountain. Let Jason try his hand at it - if it really doesn't work you can always plant something trailing in it. I think it is beautiful.

I thought the same thing… painting it (so that it doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb) and planting a swoop of grasses would be a fantastic way to soften that up!

Hi, You can fix your lion head by finding the leak and putting silicone in that letting it dry completely and it will plug up the leak.

Hi, fountains often need a cement sealer because they are porous. Check with Lowe’s, they maybe able to help you. Keep the fountain it’s a beautiful focal point in your secret shade garden.

I believe water features are one of the most important parts of making a garden beautiful. That being said I say get rid or or repurpose the fountain somewhere else and find a fountain you absolutely love. You will be so happy you did. Good luck!

Janey, maybe the tube that is feeding up into the lion's mouth is simply to short and causing some of the water to fall back into the interior? Would replacing with a longer piece of tubing, one that almost slightly protrudes from the lion's mouth possibly stop the leakage? Good luck!

Janey I just want you to know that I may be single-handedly boosting your view counts…I have an 8 month old baby at home and most days I will start and re-start one of your videos multiple times before I’m actually able to get through it 😂🤣 the baby says “you’re welcome!” LOL

Love the poppy, have never seen, or heard of fried egg poppy! Your fountain might be frustrating, but don't give up, there are some great suggestions on this comment section! Hace you considered a birch tree in your front area, they provide so much intrest, and have so many varieties to choose from. A gentle breeze, and you have beauty in motion!

Jason is right, the fountain is fixable. My hubby fixed mine. You have a lot of plants to plant. Do your plants ever die just sitting there for so long. You must have to water them constantly. Can’t wait to see your garden in June.

Monty loves the water being sprayed at him. One of my dogs was a water dog, too. He'd go crazy and jump up and down, and back and forth she'd go, and we'd even spray the grass out behind her, to have her find it. Like playing a game with them. She'd always be wet when we had the hose out, watering our plants. Enjoy your water dog!

Don’t give up on the fountain. Something I learned from a leaking pool: Use some food coloring to find the leak and then go back and seal it. Also, doesn’t Robbie have a drip line running to his lion fountain to keep it refilled? Maybe tap into the drip and do the same once it’s fixed.

I still have several to plant and it’s only been 3 days and I’m am concerned they aren’t in the ground. When I saw all those plants I thought the same thing! I hope Janey can get them in the ground before the heat comes! Have Jason dig the holes and you plant ❤❤❤

If the Lion head fountain just proves too much of a nuisance, then I think it could be beautiful as a planter…..some ivy trailing around it. I would pursue another fountain. That little side yard, courtyard oasis is perfect for a water feature of ‘some kind’👍.

Looking great Jannie! Sorry about the fountain being a pain they usually are🥴 make sure the top water isn’t running along the bottom of the bowl toward the back where the two pieces set on each other. It’s sounds like the problem. The flow has to run over the edge and not run down the bowl. Sometimes you need to adjust the tilt of the upper fountain forward to create the flow two run over straight down! Hope this makes sense. Good luck👍😎❤️

Good morning. For the Niagra falls grasses are gorgeous where you want to place them, however I would do the design with them in the back. Because they get big and the blooms that you have already planted will be hidden. Just my thoughts. I would also move the fountain grass slightly to the right as it will have more room.

I love tall grasses in a garden, they offer such a lovely texture and sound as well as the way they look…unfortunately, so does my dog, she loves chomping on them and (warning- TMI!!!) it makes her toileting interesting when the long, strappy leaves come out the other end and don’t quite “leave the back door” so to speak, then I have to tell her to go back outside and finish the job! 😳🤭 Hopefully Monty does not feel the need to be a goat and munch on the displays!
Onwards to far more enjoyable things, I binge listened to all your podcast episodes today, Janey, they are so good!! I have to say, as always, your explanations and way of presenting information is so very good, however when you also have a guest, your energy just bounces off them and you reach peak infotainment. Can’t wait to see how this side of DWPR continues to develop 🌱💚
