I sold that one after i got a old Bolt amp made in salt lake city. It was made in 2011 and his all real tube circuitry that does all the fifferent tube with a bias switch to select el34 or 6l6.. plus it has a build in atenuator before it was called that. Really ahead of their time Its 100 watt with a 4x12 celestion 30 cab. Once i got it i sold the nextone as there was no point. But the next tone is cheap and do sound awsome..and feel great. Almost as good as real tube.. almost.
I have a Quilter US Cub 50 and bought myself a Nextone Artist thinking it would be an upgrade as it has the tube models and internal FX. The App is very flexible although it doesn’t store many presets but in the end the Cub 50 sounds and feels so much better than the Nextone. The Cub50 is all analogue whereas the Nextone has a DSP which gives it a lot of flexibility but it doesn’t sound any better than the Cub50 so I sold the Nextone kept the Cub50 and got a Boss GT1 and I’m very happy. Boss also promote the AB class power amp which is the same as the one in the Katana and is an IC rather than an amp made of discrete components it sounds pretty good but isn’t great. The Cub50 has a class D amp which you would have thought would not be that great either but Pat Quilter the designer of the amp has done something very special to create a high impedance output which effectively models a tube a tube and it just sounds great imho. I doubt that the Cub50 sounds as good as a boutique tube amp but it’ll compete with any mid range tube amp and is light and bulletproof. It’s not a heavy metal machine but it takes pedals well and can do anything. If you’re in the market for a new amp give one a try you just might like it!
Can't make my mind up between a Nextone or a Roland blues cube, i play mostly blues and now and again a wee bit of classic rock but nothing heavily distorted. Any advice would be appreciated 🙏 👍
This is a very nice amp thought and it's better than the katana your demo actually does sound better than some I've seen for. Sure it has a nice chime for the clean tone! But the Rolands clean tone is literally like a diamond
Parabéns pelo vídeo Juca. Entre o Roland blues cube stage e o nextone stage qual se aproxima mais do som de um valvulado? Tô na dúvida em adquirir um desses modelos. Abs!
ive got a blues cube artist. its a better gigging amp in my opinion, i dont know about the nextone but i know that the blues cube power selector is a TRUE power amp selector. it has 4 different power amps which allows you to play in any size venue/room and you never sacrifice tone or sound. takes pedals really well, PLUS the tone capsules are really cool. thought about buying a nextone but i chose blues cube its just a higher quality amp.
Just now watching this and wondering if I made a mistake buying the Katana Artist. I didn't really know anything about these amps when I was shopping. And yes, I always have my amp on a stand for that very reason.
Hey Juca! Should I get a Nextone Artist (basically your amp without the Waza speaker) or a Katana Artist MkII if I already have a Line 6 HX Stomp for effects? The Katana Artist has a Waza speaker.
This sounds killer. I just bought a Hot Rod Deluxe IV, but maybe I’ll trade in my Katana 100 mk I for the Nextone Special. I don’t use the built in effects and could use the flexibility of the headphone and line out on the Nextone for some situations. Is the Nextone really that much of an upgrade over the Katana if I don’t use the Katana effects?
My Orange supercrush 100 sounds awesome and I dont hafta lug around a box full of pedals....tube amps are finished, there a nightmare to the sound man, too damn heavy, too much to replace tubes, and not one on the market you can plug straight into and find a decent tone. Im about to get either this Nextone or a Katana artist. I play to get paid and get invited back again and tube amps have screwed me on that too many times. solidstate rules now , Rock On !!
Sorry Juca great channel. but there was 2mins of ad then 30 seconds of you then 5 mins of ad. Thats too much. I know its not your fault, but I'm dropping youtube more and more because of it.
The Roland blues cube artist 2x12 smokes this fucking shit... This isn't bad but it's a katana with a slightly different look the blues cube is quite better in every single way in the tone area .... And Yamaha thr 100 smokes this like a sausage
Try a Nextone special. I’ve played blues cube artists and I have a katana artist. The Nextone special is like the blues cube but with way more options/versatility
This whole solid state analog thing is tempting me to buy one.
NS sounds absolutely beautiful and your playing makes it great!
Many thanks :) Cheers

I can't take my eyes off that beautiful telecaster!
Made in Mexico and sounds superb :)

Mexican made, how much? Half price than US made? Thanks.
@@edisonmirandilla2374 Around 500 Euros here. Cheers

Awesome sound! Would you make a video demonstrating how it sounds with pedals?
Thanks, will do soon :)
Is this amp more versatile than the Katana Artist if you have your own effect? I also which Boss would have included the Waza Green back speaker
Great Review. Thanks Juca
Thanks :)
Can the Nextone Special accept additional presets into the amp from a MIDI footswitch? Allowing more presets at a gig. I’d like more than 6.
I think not because by default there are only 6 slots.

Go for the Nextone Special :) Cheers
Great amp. How would you compare it sound wise as a pedal platform to a Katana twin 212 combo? Thanks
I believe this amp is slightly better as a pedal platform. Cheers
Wow I’m a little early I didn’t know this came out

Have you tried the Fender Tone Master deluxe? It would be interesting to compare to the Nextone.
No yet, I need to make that happen :) Cheers

Juca, how would you rate/compare this Nextone vs the Roland blues cube artist?
Better this one imo. Cheers
