I don't know if it's his idea or his agent's, but he seems to travel to all the championships with his English teacher. It's something he practices every day apparently. Very smart of him.

rafa has gotten a lot better over the years though, he can express himself in english pretty well these days. i believe this carlos interview was done quite a while ago, i've been seeing clips of it for months, and his english has already been seeming better in recent days. apparently according to some spaniards they struggle with foreign languages especially english, it's just not something that comes naturally to them. but carlos, like rafa, will get used to it.

@@missselfdestruct9651 but alcaraz speaks much better English than Rafa did when Rafa was a teenager new to ATP world and English. Alcaraz is in a very joking and laughing mood here and the accent and word struggles are much more obvious
