"Promises" was written by Joe L Barnes, Carrington Gaines, Keilla Alvarado, Lemuel Marin, Aaron Moses, and Dante Bowe during a Maverick City Music camp last year. This video was captured in Atlanta at 1971 Sounds during a live worship and recording night for Maverick City Music and features the Maverick City Music Choir along with many other Maverick City family and friends.

My husband was abused physically and had cancer as a child, when i met him he stuttered so bad he could barely state his name. Today he speaks clearly, is cancer free, and a great father to both our children. The victory belongs to Jesus!

I am only 15 and i am not a Christian and my childhood hasn't been easy but when I first heard this song my mind went blank and I said to myself maybe this is a sign to let god be my shepherd and let him lead me to a great new life so this year I am becoming a child of god and I will tell everybody

I was getting into a car I had borrowed from someone yesterday morning. I was really upset about some things, to the point where I was about to cry. When I started the car, the radio was on too loud. This song was playing. That really made me cry and thank the Lord for the encouragement. Then when I was getting off work, I couldn’t remember the song and I asked the Lord to let it play again when I got in the car. I started the car and some other song was playing; it was the next song. We really have an awesome God

I’m here with 2 weeks before my restoration baby will be born . My marriage is back in shambles and I’m not currently working. My hubbs left without making the bills current but I trust God. I was in a stressful situation due to my sickness problems and didnt know what i was having. I saw this song video and found courage and hope for a better tommorrow through the comments. It took really long but Now i am healed in Jesus name . I got ups and downs, lack or faith and hope but his promises are true and he never let me down and i come to tell you that God is really faithful and His promises are true.
