I was forced by my narcissistic ex to abort my precious angel boy and after taking the pills and bleeding for a couple of hours I dropped to the floor and begged Abba for my beautiful child. I have been an atheist all my life until one day I decided to listen to this and try and pray. Once I finished my prayer I felt a huge overwhelming feeling and since that day have prayed every night. My family still think I am an atheist. God is great.
I prayed this prayer during a relationship with a girl. I felt anxiety throughout the relationship and kept playing this song every night. 2 weeks later the girl ended the relationship, leaving me broken and confused. I then ran to drugs, pornography, and success to fill the void. None of it worked and then quarantine hit. And when quarantine hit it helped realize that I was building my life on falling sand, so I finally gave my life to God. Fast forward to now, I can listen to this song and look back on that time when I was praying for God to put me in the fire, GOD IS SO GOOD. I'm praying the same prayer now but this time I'm living for God and wanting Him to use me to impact people for His kingdom.

I went through a bit of the same situation a few years ago, and we are tempted with our past every day, but Jesus is ALWAYS there which is a truly amazing thing to have which shows us that what we “lost” in the toxic people of our past we gained in an everlasting love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The night I wanted to give it all away I saw a guy on tiktok play this song and had a "healing prayer". Let me tell you I've never heard of this song but out of nowhere when I saw this video the words started spilli out of my mouth, tears started falling. I broke down in tears and I said the prayer. aweek later I'm doing better, I'm not giving up this time God! I'm here my lord and Saviour- I surrender my life to you UPDATE- 5 months later, just now we got a double confirmation that I have the powers of healing, prophecy, and interpretation. Jeremiah 29:11

i find it so strange that there is such a sweetness and beauty that comes with this song. Which leads me to think that maybe in the process of purification and pruning, there is sweetness that we may have missed. What if God sees that process of purification to be the process of beautifying? And in that process, we can still have joy, knowing that we are walking through it with Jesus. Hey Liz, I lost my dad a year ago and not a day goes by without me thinking about him. He was such a rock in my life that I had a hard time adjusting to him being gone. All I could do was lean on God. My Dad was a big advocate for Bethel Music. He would play it all day every day. If he was still alive he would have had this song on replay. I listen to Bethel music a lot and it helps me find comfort in the loss of him. But also helps me talk to God and guide my anxieties of him being gone. I am so sorry for your loss. i was broken hurt and bruised. a boy with a broken identity, who believed he was born homosexual. the deeper the lust and the sexual encounters, the emptier i felt. Emptier and emptier. i had no joy nor peace in my life, i had a distorted view of what love is, and yet it did not satisfy me, deep down i knew that my lifestyle was wrong, but i was bound by chains and fetters, i started drinking, i started cutting myself to feel. my sexual encounters became more and more sick, and one evening, when i went with someone i never met and never knew, i hit rock bottom, i was so broken, i was so overwhelmed by the weight of my sinful life. i was sinking deep in sin, i was far from the Peaceful shore, but the Master of the Sea came and lifted me out of the pit of destruction. Jesus Christ was with me when i did the filthiest things, He was calling me back to Father everyday. One evening, the weight of my sin was so strong and weighed me down like a 1000 tons of cement, the Holy Spirit convicted me of the life i was living, homosexuality, alcoholism, lust, self-mutilation, self-centeredness, pride, lying... as I was feeling all of this, the Father manifested His LOVE, GRACE & MERCY to me through Jesus Christ. I never felt such love - He moved with such authority yet with such LOVE and COMPASSION. I knew that there is a GOD. Now saved am i, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, i am dead to my sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Now my life is a declaration to the Messiah, HE is The Way, The Truth & The Life. I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good! Washed and cleansed by the precious Blood of my Jesus Christ! HALLELUJAH!!!!! First time I heard this song my mom was playing it and I got so mad because I understood the prayer and how costly it is, I even refused to sing along. I casually mentioned to my mom how dangerous it would be for me to sing this song and my mom said to me that whether i sing along or not, if God's intent is to refine me my silence won't stop Him from working. So later in the week I found myself singing it and I realised it was my heart's prayer, it has always been. A much needed and necessary dangerous prayer.

After I sang the line '' I wanna be tried by fire Purified'' a part of me was like ''Nope...not for me'' coz I now KNOW how difficult and painful the process can be. I was forced by my narcissistic ex to abort my precious angel boy and after taking the pills and bleeding for a couple of hours I dropped to the floor and begged Abba for my beautiful child. I prayed this prayer during a relationship with a girl. I felt anxiety throughout the relationship and kept playing this song every night. 2 weeks later the girl ended the relationship, leaving me broken and confused. I then ran to drugs, pornography, and success to fill the void. None of it worked and then quarantine hit. And when quarantine hit it helped realize that I was building my life on falling sand, so I finally gave my life to God. Fast forward to now, I can listen to this song and look back on that time when I was praying for God to put me in the fire, GOD IS SO GOOD. I'm praying the same prayer now but this time I'm living for God and wanting Him to use me to impact people for His kingdom.

I lost my dad a year ago and not a day goes by without me thinking about him. He was such a rock in my life that I had a hard time adjusting to him being gone. All I could do was lean on God. My Dad was a big advocate for Bethel Music. He would play it all day every day. If he was still alive he would have had this song on replay. I listen to Bethel music a lot and it helps me find comfort in the loss of him. But also helps me talk to God and guide my anxieties of him being gone. I am so sorry for your loss. I was afraid to pray this prayer when i first heard this song, and yes it is a dangerous and costly prayer. I decided to give it all to my Lord Jesus Christ and all that comes with it to know Him more intimately. Since I surrendered all to Him and asked Him to purify my life I have not been the same. Yes it comes with a price that I thought I wasn’t willing to pay, but as long as you put all your trust in God and don’t half step, trust me your life will never be the same! i was broken hurt and bruised. a boy with a broken identity, who believed he was born homosexual. the deeper the lust and the sexual encounters, the emptier i felt. Emptier and emptier. i had no joy nor peace in my life, i had a distorted view of what love is, and yet it did not satisfy me, deep down i knew that my lifestyle was wrong, but i was bound by chains and fetters, i started drinking, i started cutting myself to feel. my sexual encounters became more and more sick, and one evening, when i went with someone i never met and never knew, i hit rock bottom, i was so broken, i was so overwhelmed by the weight of my sinful life. i was sinking deep in sin, i was far from the Peaceful shore, but the Master of the Sea came and lifted me out of the pit of destruction. Jesus Christ was with me when i did the filthiest things, He was calling me back to Father everyday. One evening, the weight of my sin was so strong and weighed me down like a 1000 tons of cement, the Holy Spirit convicted me of the life i was living, homosexuality, alcoholism, lust, self-mutilation, self-centeredness, pride, lying... as I was feeling all of this, the Father manifested His LOVE, GRACE & MERCY to me through Jesus Christ. I never felt such love - He moved with such authority yet with such LOVE and COMPASSION. I knew that there is a GOD. Now saved am i, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, i am dead to my sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Now my life is a declaration to the Messiah, HE is The Way, The Truth & The Life. I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good! Washed and cleansed by the precious Blood of my Jesus Christ! HALLELUJAH!!!!!

First time I heard this song my mom was playing it and I got so mad because I understood the prayer and how costly it is, I even refused to sing along. I casually mentioned to my mom how dangerous it would be for me to sing this song and my mom said to me that whether i sing along or not, if God's intent is to refine me my silence won't stop Him from working. You have to be ready to be stripped down by God to be lifted up by God. My testimony: I ran across this song and started singing it bc it's very catchy and as I'm reading the comments I'm in awe of it all. Then I took my test that week and failed. I cried bc it was no way that I could have scored what I scored. My husband said it's a test and I thought about me singing this song just days before my test. I started focusing more on God and praying more bc of course he had my full attention. I passed my next test with the highest score I made in the class so far. All praise was given to God and is still being given to God. THANK YOU LORD!!!
