Rachid Ourrak, thank you very much! Your method repaired the printer that I planned to discard, at almost no cost, just have enough patience to repair it! It only took more than an hour. thank you very much!
Title is in English, description in English, most of comments here are in English...but the video is narrated in French. Would be great to see a version of this video that is narrated in English.
Of course the sensor must detect the movement of the mechanism otherwise nothing works, To print the cartridges move from right to left with the detection of the printhead sensor and the movement of the sheet with the detection of the sensor of the engine, it is very important it is essential
Just enough information to get you into trouble. You left out half the process of taking it apart and putting it back together. It was difficult but I was able to figure it out. I would be surprised if many people could and most would just toss it in the trash at that point. The sliding ink tray on the right side was in the way and no obvious way to remove it so I cut the top of one of the slider rails off with a razor blade and then I got it off and out of the way to remove the white gear shaft below it that connects to the long shaft with the broken large gear at the other side we want to remove. I then reglued the rail to assemble it back. I didn't have to remove the whole assembly that the shaft and gear is part of to remove the shaft. Was able to remove it still in the printer case. Your were correct regarding the problem as the gear was stripped. Still very helpful video for reference on parts and getting me started but with all the time and trouble I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you have nothing to loose. But thanks again for posting the video.
Mr. Tom Devlin, Thank you very much for your comment and your remark when I repaired the printer I lost half of the recorded video I am really sorry but when I will have a printer that looks like this I do part 2 but my goal is to show the defective part, I appreciate your comment and hope your printer works again thank you very much 😊😊😊
Rachid, But why use a jeweler's screwdriver to mix the two part epoxy? Use a disposable toothpick maybe? Also, you must rent, I would never mix two part epoxy on top of a bare labradorite counter top. Brave man. Maybe too brave... :)

The gear with the numbers must be at the black square in order to reinstal it in the sensor ?? Or it doesnt matters?
