If he was merely indifferent, why would he arrange to have his photo taken in front of the vessel in question, smiling and proud? You don't pose to have your picture taken in front of things you don't care about.
No, he's quite pleased that a Japanese man died. This isn't the first time either, he's made similar remarks taking joy in the death of other hunters and fishermen as well.

Only Paul Watson would attempt to attack the Japanese while they are looking for the body of their shipmate.

for a group so passionate about saving living creatures it's pretty shocking that they just don't seem too disturbed that a man just died.

No. This is too much. This is beyond heartless. This man interferes with a Japanese ship while a man has gone overboard? Does this man have ANY respect for human life? I'm starting to think he is a sociopath. His disregard for human life is unacceptable.

Paul cares more about whales than human lives.
it's such an irony, Paul was right there at the coast, when Japanese fishermen helped Paul to escape the tsunamis that killed thousands in 3.11.

What a self-righteous fool. The Japanese looking for a man overboard, and this fool was going to interfere with that???? It does not matter that the man overboard is probably dead and might not be found. What a coldhearted bunch of fanatics. Bravo for the guy who had misgivings about going after this whaling boat...

These people are firm believers in "the end justifies the means" .

To clarify, SS' "offer" was only made after the fact for the benefit of the cameras. This is the fact of the situation according to timelines put together when the events were actually unfolding.
AP has a long history of altering the order of events through the Whale War series to build a storyline which is favorable for both their ratings and SSCS.

if you work on the sea your a sailor first and your trade is second, respect should of been shown not just towards the lost man but his crew mates. if your not going to help them you must stay clear at the very least! i totally disagree with whaling but interfering with clear search for a body not a whale hunt should not of even been contemplated and is just wrong morally.

Wow, I knew Watson was a liar and scammer, but this tops it all. So much for that 'living creature' compassion. Guess Japanese don't qualify. I shouldn't be surprised. Every former SS person has nothing but the worst to say about Paul Watson.

These are both false, though it is claimed in the highly edited tv show.
Australian Search and Rescue detailed in news at the time that SS did not respond.
SS own photos also show them disrupting Japanese' vessels attempt to search.
These items are already posted in the description. It's kind of ironic you tell me to watch an episode edited to make SS look good when you didn't even read the description here first.
BTW, I've watched all the episodes from the season in question.

Anyone who can accept the questionable methods of these people in carring out a noble cause really has to look into their own value system. Stamping out evil by doing evil is......well it stands alone and needs no further explanation does it?

I'm seeing a particular demographic here. All white, upper middle class and predominately from the Anglosphere.

Well if you had actually watched the whole episode and not just thees out takes, you would have known that they offered to aid in the search over radio, which was declined.
They also did no attack on them during the search.

The cold bastard doesn't shed a tear for the lost seaman who likely suffered a long and excruciating death, yet he cries over whales killed in under two minutes. The man is inhuman!

If this guy were to mess with me at sea... There would be blood in the water. And the best part? "...You can't find a body in these waters."
Hey, I like whales as much as the next guy, but these people are insaine! They're like PETA, except they have the balls go throgh with there plans! (Yes, I dont like PETA. But, I do like animals... with some BBQ sause. >=D)

TELL ME WHY IS A WHALE LESS IMPORTANT THAN A HUMAN BEING TO YOU? JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN'T COMMUNICATE LIKE US? BECAUSE THEY DON'T GO TO THE CINEMA? OR PERHAPS BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT MONEY? PRISON (AND ALSO OUT) IS FULL OF PEOPLE OF LESS VALUE THAN ANIMALS... TREATING ALL LIFE WITH RESPECT IS THE TRUE MARK OF HUMANITY.

These people are crazy, attacking other ships that are trying to fish or hunt down some whales. Attacking a Maltese Ship?, what fun is that? they should get a proper life and instead of picking on other ships they should try and help regenerate sea life

You cant put words in someone else's mouth. Nowhere did he say he took joy in what happened. However speaking on behalf of myself when i heard what had happened i couldn't help but laugh. Best case scenario would be the loss of all the whalers. Its only a shame that sea shepherd is bound by law where as the whalers make no effort to abide by it and suffer no consequences. If there is such a thing then this is a pure form of divine justice. Shame it was only one...
