Thankyou very much for sharing this with us. Not withstanding the exhaust fume extraction system, "sometimes" the tunnel is full of fumes. So unless the weather over the top is really bad. I go that way.
HAVE u travelled the country to see the great infrastructure projects that have done since APARTHIED, the world cup stadiums are a great starting point. the plethora of interchanges/flyovers. im surprised u still live in this ANC COUNTRY with all its disappointment
@@MenziKhuzwayo Cape Town is run by the DA not ANC thats why, name me some things the actual ANC did. Dont claim DA victories for South Africa when YOUR ANC is a massive failure. Not to mention crime under the ANC ruling has increased by over 700% in the last 12 years. voetsjek
I believe that I may have the key for the prison that those Italians were kept in. It has the letters PAK KA on the key ring. They were left by my late wife who was fascinated with the pass, especially on a motorbike. She got claustrophobic in the tunnel. She said that the key was from the prison on top of the pass. Who could I return it to if it is the key?
@@nelsonchinasamy9857hi, yes, you are correct I can't build anything I studied economics and law at uct not construction. Hehe I focused on the name change which is more towards the law.

@reniervandermerwe who said anything about cape town you bloody settler
Fantastic work, keep it up
The cross on du Toits Pass was put up by the Italians for their friends who died in a lorrie accident while working on the pass.
Forgot to mention it costs a shitload of money to drive through the tunnel... So much that thousands each day will rather take the longer route.

The longest tunnel in South Africa is the Orange Fishriver tunnel.

Not a bad idea tbh
@@mazibukomailyou can't build anything, all I see now is the country going in reverse gear. But you are very good at changing names.
