Kunta Jay I never even heard of the word. But once I did I thought it was a room for drunk people at games to go and safely hurl their guts out in private.
Helm cameras would be great actually. Imagine you could switch between players in game like you can switch TV channels. Or at least give us a second screen with QB vision. Am I missing something obvious here? Players could be muted during play calls and so on of course.
Did you hear the latest news on the Chargers??? From the Athletic, The Chargers owner is not opposed to moving to London, so long as the NFL wants to move in that direction.
Remember, whatever visiting teams that come to southern California will have fans at the stadium because there are a lot of people from other NFL cities who now live in Southern California. Plus, people who still live in other NFL cities will come. San Francisco and Phoenix, for example, are only a one-hour plane ride away from LAX. On top of that, L.A. has great weather for tourists year round.
Why isn't there more official coverage of the stadium construction? All we have is a few guys taking video on their cell phones from Prairie, or photos people take while coming into LAX. Please Los Angeles Rams, provide us official and professional coverage of the stadium construction, and on a weekly basis at least. Thank you.
NFL needs a streaming service and they could incorporate Dr. Tyson’s camera idea... I thought of something similar, along with a first person view you can pay a dollar or something to follow your favorite player you can choose different camera angles, the more people that subscribe to them the more angles they get, they might be mic’d up
Neil actually has an excellent idea with helmet cams. imagine during a replay in a game swapping to the Receivers helmet camera as he locks on to the ball and makes a touch down catch! Would be a world first.
Another name for this is Neal DeGrasse Tyson explores the science of Stan Kroenke's and Dean Spanos' giant middle finger directed at the cities of LA, San Diego, and St. Louis.
Why did Neil beat these nice guys the whole tour, ol heavy hand pounding shoulders, pushing folks, slap the dude with his gloves 😂😁😂 Personal Space NEIL, geez
Michael Marchesano uses "Vomitorium" in a sentence... NDT,not to let a moment go by without hearing the sound of his own voice. Proceeds to over explain the meaning, history & origin of the word "Vomitorium",in his usual boisterous & exuberant manner. Michael looks back at him like... "I know wtf it means,dude"... "That's why I said it"!!
what if they had 360° cameras set up at different spots, and you could put your VR head set on pay a fee and pick a seat and watch the game from your couch in 360°
I don't know man, having that 2 million pound oculus hanging above the field would make me nervous as fuck. That thing comes down and you're talking about mass casualties
translucent would be a better term. You can make out light and dark objects through it. Imagine a heavily frosted window. The inside of the stadium would still be dark as hell on a sunny day if the lights were turned off.
The stadium is going to likely have 4 locker rooms; one for the Rams, one for the Chargers, and two for visiting teams and home team overflow. The same setup that the Jets & Giants have at MetLife stadium
I coulda went my entire life without knowing the actually meaning of the word
Vomitorium

Giving him a tour would drive me nuts!
hahaha I agree.
He’s so condescending. Did you see his most recent interview on Joe Rogan’a podcast? Disaster.
@@tomcotter4299 Neil did the same thing that Joe often does lol.
Alexander Canella wtf are you talking abt he always lets people talk
They had an awesome interaction! He literally started off complimenting the dude. And you can tell he brought the best out of that guy!
Helm cameras would be great actually. Imagine you could switch between players in game like you can switch TV channels. Or at least give us a second screen with QB vision. Am I missing something obvious here? Players could be muted during play calls and so on of course.
Henrik
Give it a few more years and we’ll probably see something like that in the NFL...
or at least in the next Blade Runner movie.
@@daniellara7564 The XFL would probably implement something like that sooner.
Imagine if the need to protect the equipment actually produced rule changes that ended up reducing brain injuries 😂
The era of sophisticated augmented reality looms ever nearer
Usfl had that on the qbs
Neil is too funny when he interacts with other humans, lol
Humans? I think he see us as Earthlings :D
Bucs #1 Fan don’t you mean.. with humans... as in he’s not... 🤣
Except when he interrupts
So much fun listening to these guys talk science & engineering
The design is groundbreaking. From the last row at the top you'll be closer to the field than most stadiums.
Chargers volunteered to be the Jets of LA.
I think it was thrust upon them by Jerry Jones and the NFL.
"You can just wash it off"
Dude's all uh breh, we haven't had water in this state for years hahaha
'Atlanta will visit at least once a season per league rules, to uh, 'take care of things'' :)

Chargers really think that's their home lol.
ikr lmao

As long as they pay their rent by the 1st of the month
London Chargers
@@KarateD35 yeah i heard. more fans for us.
Neil does not stop interrupting people. lol. love it!

So did I lol
This reminded me of his latest appearance on Rogan's podcast.
@@BasePuma4007 sure has become increasingly douchey and more pretentious lately

Heso Melo that’s a goat
Heso Melo 5-4 😂😂
Go where? Lmao
Let’s go Bolts! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thank you Dr Tyson with questions coming from your perspective gives me a greater understanding of the science behind this stadium
He keeps interrupting him omg lol he’s a smart guy, obviously, but let the man do his job even if you already know Lolol
He is egotistical and I dont like him at all what does this have to do with his field of science?
He did the same thing to Joe Rogan lol
MAN I LOVE THIS IDEA HELMET CAMERA
Neil always has to grab the shoulder when he talks
This engineer (foreman?) is great. What a great job by him hanging with Tyson.

RAMS HOUSE!!!! 💪🐏🏈
I want my dog to run the full 100 yards and a camera on her back
@8:47 Vince McMahon bouta steal this idea so hard for the XFL
"...Appreciate the density of human flesh.." didn't know that I needed to hear Neil degrasse Tyson say that in my lifetime
This stadium is going to be tremendous. So many great games and events will take place here. I'm excited to hear the news it will host WrestleMania!
The Rams will fill it, but the Chargers won’t.

The Chargers might eventually but that’s only if they win a SB and have winning seasons.
AFC West! Love having 2 home games against the chargers!
This is extremely well done and entertaining.
Neil is sooooo touchy.
I’m visiting this venue come 2020!
The construction guy was great! The Falconeer 🤣🤣 got em
Is that a Tyson Rams jersey with the number 74? You can’t disrespect Merlin Olsen like that!
He was so touchy
Go Rams
Wow that's an awesome idea the camera embedded to the helmet of the players on live TV imagine the game experience?
Belichick would loooooove this idea.
Incredible & interesting stadium!
This will be better than falcons and Vikings new stadiums.
That Dude is 700 years ahead. 1st person viewing !!!!
I've started training my Falcons, birds of prey.
Camera in refs hats first please. I wanna know what those guys are looking at

Imagine that roof suddenly collapsing, that’d be deadly.
Anyone notice he started with 1 person and people kept joining 1 by 1 until 4 of them?
The construction guys are like yeaaah, mhmm, riiight at the end
That's a retired jersey! Just saying !
A World Cup game should be played there in 2026
Two words,majestic!!! majestuoso!
I feel like the grid of shadows from the roof and the Jumbotron are going to be annoying on tv
I love Tyson's energy and the ideas he brings to the table!
8:51 They had those in 1992 in the World League...
ua-cam.com/video/OY4aobHByj8/v-deo.html
They didn't have ultraHD in 1992
Neil actually has an excellent idea with helmet cams. imagine during a replay in a game swapping to the Receivers helmet camera as he locks on to the ball and makes a touch down catch! Would be a world first.
The camera idea is great. Except those cameras would break so fast.
We get it Neil. You know things. 🙄
I like the camera on helmet idea
Yeah russel Wilson was a part of the first football players to integrate a camera in their helmet
Camera helmets were used in World League back in the 90s
I don't think it's going to be finished in time, just keep on building into 2020 season, rams in Coliseum for years!!
I do agree that the Rams should stay in the coliseum but they don’t want them to stay in it sadly.
I would love to stand in a place like that in my staduim
This is awesome!
Great video.
Can we please do that?
Fans on their phone or at home can click on a player and see their view. Cameras on the helmets
Would LOVE for the helmet cam to arrive soon....

Los Angeles: it never rains in Southern California
Also LA: let’s put a roof on our stadium ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There was no point to having the NDT in this video. The engineer was the interesting one.
but he told people what a vomitorium was :)
How about a cameras or sensors on the ball?
Chip on the ball that sensors on the field can read would be great. Would be able to know if the ball crossed the plane or not
Can tell us the speed of the ball also put sensors on the floor to tell if a drop pass that hit the floor ?

Why was that so difficult to sit and listen to?
🤔😳🤯
Like the stadium though!
New name: The LA Vomitorium! Lmao
Donald Campbell ok boomer
A stadium below grade sounds like a California thing. I wonder if they did it for nostalgia reasons
FAA regulations is the cause.

This video manages to be good despite Niel Degrass Tyson, which means it has to be great!

John Kay should have been able to join them
god Neil can make even sports boring
