I have a 2005 model BMW e60 vehicle, there is a malfunction like this, I wonder what happened to this TCU (Getriebe-Steugerät- TEL/ULF/ULF-SBX)

Was your AUX working beforehand? If not, did replacing the MULF2 bring it back? I have a 2010 E60 and my MULF2 module was COMPLETELY crusted over… I fiber looped it out and oddly enough my BT started working… I don’t know how removing the BT makes it START working (maybe because the rest of the wires are connected)

Hi, I don’t have a highly specced car so only the standard mulf ‘low’ Bluetooth without sos etc and the standard aux in jack socket. My second e60 has both TCU and Mulf which both control the Bluetooth. Maybe your TCU handles your Bluetooth and the mulf is handling the audio. (Usb equipped cars use the mulf2 unit.) just guessing as I don’t know exactly your spec or factory order. Hope that helps.

Hi just checked my boot and there Isn’t any wiring that looks similar to yours was hoping I’d find a Bluetooth module I could code in I have a 2008 e61 530D SE , is it possible to somehow retrofit Bluetooth to my system I have the old CCC like yours I have cables there but definately not what you have plugged into your module any help be great
    Thanks

Hi Jason, you would need to run the harness from the fuse box etc around the car, add the module and then code it in. I would recommend just buying a andream carplay unit. It’s modern and works way better for calls 👍

@@FuelledLife hi sir, I have a 07 plate 520d without the Bluetooth module. just wanted to ask that if I replace the stock idrive unit, with the andream unit will it work and give notifications like the idrive unit about the car??
Pls reply it will be of great help..

@@RahulJaiswal-ug1ql happy to help! 👍 it works over the top of iDrive so you gain Bluetooth and apple CarPlay. When your car chimes or has a fault or information is stored, you will see it come up on your dash and hear it. You then simply hold down the menu button and switch back to the old iDrive system and view the message. Does that make sense?

@@FuelledLife oh, thanks. So it means that the idrive will remain in place and continue running, and this andream unit will be an additional upgrade to the car infotainment system. I hope the music sound quality and Bluetooth calls quality/clarity is good enough to hear and talk.

@@RahulJaiswal-ug1ql that’s right, spot on. I personally never had any issues but I guess it’s subjective.

      No coding required.
Just replace any pins that are corroded or clean them with contact cleaner. 👍 cheers for watching

Before replacing the module, did your USB port and aux worked?

Hi Luis, my car doesn’t have that option fitted. My symptoms were no phone selection and my voice commands button would work but the car wouldn’t speak back to me or respond when pressed.

My usb/aux also don't work. Bluetooth doesn't even toggle in iDrive. Mechanic said the MULF module for my model ties into aux/usb which explains why I don't have either one. They want 1500 to complete the repair. I'll just do it myself for that. 2008 535xi.
