The Hardest Challenge of My Life - Alphubel (4,206m) Skitour

Last spring, I climbed my first 4,000m peak by ski mountaineering. It was the toughest physical challenge of my life. Not because of the actual physicality of it, but the altitude sickness that plagued me. My cousin and our guide pushed me further than I ever thought I could push, and we managed to reach the summit. An incredible experience that taught me so much about the power and grandeur of nature, as well as taking my preparation for altitude adventures much more seriously. But also how far I can push myself and how even at that point I can push further.
