This song was playing when my boyfriend overdosed on heroin. He came over and I wanted to show him this awesome song by one of my favorite bands. As I was lost in the music video I turned around and he was unconscious and his lips were already turning purple. I had to jump up and guess how to give him CPR and call the police. All while this song is playing in the background. I love this song but it will never be the same and brings me chills every time. Here I am a year later and he is clean and doing better than ever.
Edited in 2020- It sounds very coincidental but this actually happened. Years later I am coming here to read the comments through.. This is still something very traumatic to me and I shared my story (his story) to help people and raise awareness.

wow. just. wow. what the fuck. ive been listenin to this band for 3 weeks straight and fuck me if theyre not the best thing i heard this year. this song just got me so emotional. i havent been this attached to a band and its songs since i was, i dont know, fifteen. i havent felt any good in the past 2 years, and lately im so, so much better, and they will forever remind me of this time of my life. it's extraordinary, really, how well their songs fit in with everything i am feeling.
edit sept 22: finally saw them live last week for the first time after 5+ years. fucking amazing. went to their concert after two months of barely leaving home due to panic and it was one of the best best best decisions i ever made. worth every second. one of my favorite bands forever, thank you for everything

I listened to the Land of Pleasure album during my visit to Australia from Sweden a couple of years ago. I would definitely say SF are not that well known in northern Europe, but somehow I found out about them during the trip. Land of Pleasure will forever be one of my favourite albums and I regularly come back. There is nothing quite like it, actually.

I will always have a vivid memory of me singing this as loud as i could, about two years ago. Crying in front of my friends house, collecting him before work.
