There are many times where "predictable" in the kitchen is called for, especially in front of the camera, but experimentation (and the risk of failure) is always fun. Thanks for your bravery and authenticity to share with us both, Liz.
The Banana fritters and miso caramel look great. I'd love to see the Pandan ice cream recipe. Maybe in a more traditional ice cream maker. Have yet to see anybody give an enthusiastic positive review of the Ninja Creami.
Will keep at it. The recipe worka perfectly in a churner but mine broke recently So i thought id give the creami a go as its very similar to my old pacojet in the kitchen. Stay tuned for review + recipe x
Hi aunty liz, that looks realy good will try it. I would like you to check out the one we make in Capetown south africa, we have it with cinnamon normally during Ramadan.
Looks great to me and bet it tastes great as well. No here is a little challenge for you Chef as you may or may not know in the southern US we have a dessert called banana pudding a simple dish at it's best but loved by all. As for a recipe I'm sure you can find a plethora of them, however I have never seen one that would incorporate banana fritters. Now for some reason my brain say's what a good idea as part of enjoying the OG dish is the crunch from vanilla wafers "biscuit/cookie" placed in the banana pudding/custard. Now I don't know how the fritters would hold up to being immersed in the pudding/custard but I'm betting it would be a grand embellishment. Would love to see your take on this dish.
It's so sad to see your videos getting fewer and fewer views even though your recipes are literally perfect, the video quality is top-notch and highly entertaining. Besides that, I'd absolutely love to see the pandan coconut ice cream recipe

@@AuntieLiz The flavour is strongest when they're overripe, but I've never fried bananas before, so I didn't consider texture. You're right, the texture would probably be off-putting; squishy & fried don't go together. 😅
It didn’t crystallise inthink just due to machine/user error - plus i cant add alcohol because my kids are having it. Tho vodka is a lovely idea for more naughty auntie behaviour
Pisang goreng turned up a notch or two. Nice. I'm not a great fan of banana and traditionally drowning it with jam- strawberry from the Cameron Highlands, of course!- doesn't help. The chilli and miso sounds like it will really make then bananas pop. That pandan iceream would go great with pulut ketan hitam- Malaysian/Indonesian black rice pudding. The contrast of the heated rice and melting icecream will add to it- frozen butter in kaya toast sama2. Please make this. Either that, or you can make a three-ingredient pandan icecream in next to no time with no icecream maker required.
Bringing back memories of growing up in HK. I also remember getting toffee apple fritters where they'd serve it with a bowl of ice water to make the toffee go hard. Such great fun as a kid.
Hello chef Liz, for the ninja creami, let your ice cream bases sit out for 15-20 minutes then spin it. That way you can avoid throwing 2nd spin and it is less likely to damage the machine!
"you are recording this, arent you?" 😂😂😂 'nd chill with the ice cream. i feel like that's how home made icecreams are. eat it quick, no time for marketing shots 😊

It was actually fine after i put it back in the freezer another go
@@AuntieLiz yes but you look so annoyed 😂 it was cute, it’s nice to see people be real on camera
Interesting, never would have thought about the miso caramel, let alone adding the chili crisp. Fritters sounded amazing, though.👍
Wow, a damn good dessert 🥰👍🏻👏
Thanks

Pisang goreng wit black cili sos that all i need
Hexclad! I love Hexclad!

Pandan ice cream 😋
So good
Was it single or double cream?
Double
I think the blender introduced a lot of heat to the ice cream. Maybe it needed to go back in the freezer to cool it back down
Sure did. Will recap in next video
I could see how you'd enjoy a wee drip of chili oil... hot honey finds itself in odd dishes in my kitchen.

You're not wrong, but overripe bananas are the best for recipes 🍌

No one likes a soggy banana!!
Sorry Children!!
Love when Liz is naughty
Always
I wouldn't call the ice cream a failure. If I was a kid again, I wouldn't care. It's ice cream AND a sauce all in one. And it's fabulous.
True. Even as a sauce it was delish
Uncle Roger has really corrupted your mind 🤣 Thanks for the video. Love it.
We use sweet plantain when it comes to cooking bananas.
