There are many times where "predictable" in the kitchen is called for, especially in front of the camera, but experimentation (and the risk of failure) is always fun. Thanks for your bravery and authenticity to share with us both, Liz.

Looks great to me and bet it tastes great as well. No here is a little challenge for you Chef as you may or may not know in the southern US we have a dessert called banana pudding a simple dish at it's best but loved by all. As for a recipe I'm sure you can find a plethora of them, however I have never seen one that would incorporate banana fritters. Now for some reason my brain say's what a good idea as part of enjoying the OG dish is the crunch from vanilla wafers "biscuit/cookie" placed in the banana pudding/custard. Now I don't know how the fritters would hold up to being immersed in the pudding/custard but I'm betting it would be a grand embellishment. Would love to see your take on this dish.

Pisang goreng turned up a notch or two. Nice. I'm not a great fan of banana and traditionally drowning it with jam- strawberry from the Cameron Highlands, of course!- doesn't help. The chilli and miso sounds like it will really make then bananas pop.
That pandan iceream would go great with pulut ketan hitam- Malaysian/Indonesian black rice pudding. The contrast of the heated rice and melting icecream will add to it- frozen butter in kaya toast sama2. Please make this. Either that, or you can make a three-ingredient pandan icecream in next to no time with no icecream maker required.
