Fate and circumstances man. Warm my heart to see their friendship blossoming like this (I was quite curious as to why they never collated 1 on 1 after they both join Holo).
Deep Lore Warning:
In 2023's Only Up collab stream, Aqua in her typical introvert fashion asked pekora: "Peko-chan must like me isn't it?" Pekora responded:"Many years ago we had this conversation before." It took aqua a while to realize what pekora was talking about and a very exciting response:" oh oh, I remember, I remember." Later they both jokingly agreed that the exact content of their prior exchange should remain a secret.
What pekora was referring to was their collab stream about 8-9 years ago on NicoNico, where aqua asked the exact question and pekora said yes I like you very much. In that era, they had collabs but was never close enough to be categorized as friends or even "business relationship" by today's holo standards.
