Korone's artistic style is on the psychological storytelling
Yes.... psychological horror
actually reminds me of takeshi kitano's paintings
So I graduated from art school and to be honest I think these are pretty good. I think she would be liked in that sort of place. I was surprised she took this art challenge seriously like this.
Korone is very practical, she realizes toilets are the most important.
i kinda agree with her can you just imagine if we never invented that and to this day we're still making holes on the ground and shitting in it

Korone's artwork, even if obviously there as jokes, are actually good examples of outsider art. There's actually a lot of meaning packed into the things she draws and I like the juxtaposition between her childlike artstyle and the dark and surreal themes.
'Outsider art' - Thank you for shedding light on a term I didn't know until today! I glanced over the definition of it and I agree with you regarding Korone's artwork as outsider art.
@@LifeOfFai Thank god I wasn't the only one thinking about it too

"Wear your jacket properly!" lol
"Why is he holding a baton?"
"Weren't you listening? Love cannot be stopped."
I like how Korone went with the above view. A depiction often seen in traditional Japanese artworks. She has obviously studied the masters
You can also see the traditional right-to-left reading pattern in it. The kid comes in from the right, and you are supposed to look at the bright right side first. Only after the bright mood is set are you supposed to look at the earthen effi... otter in existential darkness on the left.
she's very old school
Sometimes, I forget that korone is cute character who doesn't try to be cute
Why try when you are.
She's naturally cute yet extremely insane
She's one of the cutest living things because she doesn't try to be cute, she just is
this is literally like Picasso
if you look at the artstyle alone, it looks like a child's drawing. but after understanding the meaning of the painting, it becomes a masterpiece with a unique artstyle
Picasso did say it took him like 1 year to paint like the masters, but took him a lifetime to paint like a child.
Except... someone (only the artist would be able to) has to explain the meaning of the painting first..... in great details... Extremely great details..
**snorts aggressively**
I've had pleasure seeing Picasso at the gallery. I thought the art was not childish at all, the paintings seemed raw and brutal to me even with no context, like force was applied to every little brush move. It was good indeed
Can't match Korone doe
@@innocentbystander8681 Yeah, I mean, I'm no expert but it seems to me like Picasso had a great deal of technique, it's just a surreal style.
everyone's always talking about Suisei's Suicopathy, but the real danger was under our noses the whole time...
suisei was the mini boss, korone is the final boss
there is a reason pekora panicked before her first meeting with *psychopath senpai korone* lol

Suisei might be buit a story to be psychopath but Korone IS one from the start since debut
If you've watched Korone from the beginning, you'd known she was the true final boss all along 草
A very profound and thought provoking dog indeed..
Korone went Michelangelo with these pieces of art, so many layers behind it, a true artist!

The mind of korone is an enigma... a scary enigma
5:40 - that smug face wearing the crown is perfect
The god painting is unironically kinda profound
Right? I mean you could make that into a religion. It explains one of the most fundamental question of every religion. If god exists, why doesnt he interact with us - because we already surpassed everything he can give us on our own. We are complete on our own.
@@Crispy1961
This is literally what some philosophers have thought about, ideologies based on man surpassing god

Which one?
You know, Korone when she does this kind of work, feels like a genuine 'outside artist'. Someone without a lot of root training but a lot of ideas to convey and can actually get some of them out in an albeit clunky way. I'm kind of impressed with the God one
Unironically agree. She's very creative and clearly smart, even if she's intentionally goofy. Her weird Gregorian chant Okayu song is another example of her having an outsider artist kind of aesthetic.

Korone:”Toilet is important”
Also Korone:*breaks people toilet on thief simulator”
She knows how to cause anguish to the homeowners.
Out of frustration because she couldn't steal the toilets.
As expected korone
This has finally convinced me Korone truly graduated from Tokyo-u. She learned the most important skill of all, the art of how to bullshit your way out of assignments AND win the favor of the teachers while at it
LMAO
There's honestly an interesting worldview expressed here. Korone casts the zoo as a place of torment for animals that humans amuse ourselves with, but also has a view of humanity as self-perfecting, to the point where God finds himself unable to provide us with blessings that we haven't already made, including love. The love part is key, because the idea that humanity is so powerful and cruel that even God can't keep pace with us is one thing, but instead the cruelty of humanity isn't an inherent part of it. Instead it seems to be blindness, the kid is having fun at the zoo but is unable to comprehend the torment of the animal he's viewing, the kid on the bike cannot be stopped the same way love cannot be stopped, and even the last picture shows obsessiveness as being part of how Korone sees human behavior.
We are beings that can surpass our creator and who are able to love so deeply we don't *need* the gift of it, but we're also self-absorbed and can have a narrow understanding of the world that prevents us from seeing what we're doing.
I agree with what you said. Her work could sell for a lot. Especially the depiction of god. Pretty deep doggo.
Fascinating. It's true that we as a species have a lot of potential. I'll disagree about the need for God, but we'll only go deeper on that if that's something that you're willing to do.
Cool

People make fun of Korone for being silly a lot, but I unironically think she's got one of the most philosophical and insightful minds in hololive. What's more, her willingness to share such thoughts publicly on stream is unmatched, and that's one of the reasons she's so fun and fascinating. Korone is a real one.

As an artist, the composition of the god drawing is actually really cool
I'm not an artist, but I've always been impressed by the composition of a lot of Korone's art. She has a good sense for colour, weighting, light and dark space, and symmetry. She also has a real knack for the uncanny.
I like the composition too

these are like.... legit pieces of art. especially the zoo one? like, damn.
Korone are you trying to tell us something with your art?
Do you feel like an exhibit in a zoo....gawked at by onlookers sharing a joy never afforded to the caged....knee deep in a void from which naught but one's curses can hope to even attempt escape?
or maybe she's just an artistic genius
Ngl korone’s third artwork could be an album cover to a experimental pop band.
it rlly could
korone's really deep. i really like her drawings because they're not just drawings that had meaning thrown onto them, they were made WITH the meanings in mind, and you can read the art as a story. seriously love the way she depicts god though
I actually really like Korone's art. There's something about the juxtaposition between her childlike art and the deep meaning behind it that intrigues me.
Even from the start, Korone's drawings are actually pretty deep in meaning. She did put a lot of thought in what she made, no matter how mad it looked.
*Korone:* _explaining what she's done_

Korone's style reflects the genius of Masaaki Yuasa tbh
The Picasso of Hololive
Edit: I'm not kidding, I'm serious. Her paintings carry many meanings, telling us about ourselves, about how we somehow don't need blessings from gods, but how we are full of ourselves and how cruel we are. She is indeed a genius telling us those through child-like paintings.
Let's check in on Korone, the world's cutest dog-idol!:
"humanity has surpassed god"

...that was actually brilliant.
what the hell, I came here to LAUGH not to be AWESTRUCK.
Bro this is a classic.
I may not be impressed with her technical skill, but damn I genuinely loved the art anyway.
this doggo's got some crazy artistic vision, it's only inevitable that she comes out on top
Holy shit, what a mind! I honestly cannot imagine anything even remotely close to what she's done. Such is the insanity that is Korone.
For an introvert, Korone's power-level when amongst others can be very high.
Korone is truly in a different league, she's might not be the most talented or the best at things but she's just so charming and has such a unique way of seeing the world and thinking about stuff, how can you not love her?
Art in Philosophy - 100 (max out)
Art in Fashion - 0 (min)
Kinda interesting to see this kind of duality
She is genuinely good at surrealism drawing. I actually find it excellent looking.
van Gogh only sold 1 painting during his lifetime (supposedly) .. When an artist is born ahead of their time, they go unappreciated until the rest of us catch up 🧐
and by that time they are already long gone
That 3rd drawing legitimately made me have to sit down for a second
I unironically like her art it's endearing as hell and her reasoning behind everything goes so much harder than I ever thought it'd need to.
Reminds me of when her browsing tabs got exposed and it looked like she was browsing torture tactics.
What a deep thinking dog.
Also, you can tell this was in her earlier days, when she was still more timid and soft-spoken.
This is the first picture art that I have truly enjoyed. Good dog!
"i'm top dog, losers" legendary fact
This is great! Korosan is so cute it's easy to forget that she also has a dark side that runs quite deep. It's really quite interesting.
So in the order of importance,
Car >>>> Home Appliances >>> Toilet >> Train Station = Lumber >> Love
honestly if someone told me these were from some famous artist i would believe it
Reminds me of Ringo Starr's MSpaint drawings tbh
I had already forgotten that masterpiece, thanks for reminding me of the true face of god
It's pretty surreal to see a deeper side to Korone's personality here, when i was new to the rabbit hole she was just some popular cute doggo to me. Now i know she's really more than that~
i think if anything this does illustrate korones wonderful artistic mind. of course everyone harps on her technical visual art skills, but thats not the only kind of art. korone has a wonderful, narrative focused mind.
she isnt bullshitting her way through criticism or pulling tricks. she came up with snapshots that protray interesting narratives, but her visual skills limit the ease of interpretation at first. when she explains what she was going for, it becomes much more clear, and theres a certain beauty you can parse from an otherwise ugly piece
I love that Korone loves the word "warabe"
His era wasn't ready for Van Gogh, this era isn't ready for doggo.
wow lowkey these arts she made were kinda of amazing? like so many meanings behind them I got actually impressed if she thought of it all

im not going to the zoo ever again... i dont want to get cursed by an otter
Korone's artwork seriously makes me feel things.
They trigger some very powerful emoptions! A true artist!
jokes aside that is a pretty solid degree of investment in her paintings...
Korone was still so shy back then. But she still go at her own pace. Wow almost 3 years now...time sure fly.
Korone's art style is really something else.
I like to think that Korone's art is going to sell for 20 something million dollars per piece in a museum in a few decades
Korone explaining the cursed face made me remember that one manga where the zoo animals are cursed and has a human face
legit good art though
